Al Pacino has met with Marvel Studios about … something

al pacino met marvel studios something
Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy impressed just about everyone with its adventure into the cosmic corners of the studio’s cinematic universe, and apparently one of the people it won over was none other than Oscar-winning actor Al Pacino, who said he not only loved the movie when he saw it, but subsequently had a meeting with Marvel about a mystery role.

During an interview for MTV’s Happy Sad Confused podcast, Pacino described his experience of attending a screening of Guardians of the Galaxy with his children, expecting to simply tolerate the movie for the sake of his kids. Instead, he said was “taken up” by the film.

“It was inventive, funny, strong in sound and music, the production of it, the ingenuity of it… I was really impressed,” he said.

And his positive experience — and subsequent public praise for the film — eventually resulted in a meeting with Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige.

“I met with the Marvel guy,” revealed Pacino, and just when he might’ve shared something for fans to speculate on regarding their meeting, fate — or possibly the long hand of Marvel secrecy — intervened.

“I would imagine either there’s something he feels is right for me, or…” teased Pacino, only to be suddenly cut off by his phone ringing.

“Every time we talk about Marvel, that’s what happens,” he joked.

You can listen to the podcast interview with Pacino at MTV. (The Marvel portion of the conversation begins around the 32:30 mark.)
