Marvel’s man without fear, Daredevil, prowls Netflix in April

Marvel’s long-awaited Daredevil series on Netflix finally has an official premiere date, with the streaming service announcing the show’s arrival along with those of several other programs either being renewed or premiering this year.

Fans eagerly awaiting the debut of Charlie Cox as blind crime-fighter Matt Murdock will be able to watch all 13 episodes of the series beginning April 10, 2015. As with previous Netflix-produced series, the entire season will be available to watch on the premiere date — meaning that there will likely be quite a bit of binge-watching happening that day.

Marvel and Netflix also released a “motion poster” for the series featuring a glimpse at the sights and sounds of Daredevil’s turf emblazoned with the superhero’s logo, as well as a standard poster.

Also starring Rosario Dawson, Vincent D’Onofrio, Deborah Ann Woll, and Elden Henson, Daredevil follows an attorney who lost his sight as a child, only to gain other superhuman senses in the same accident. He fights crime in the courtroom by day, but at night he patrols his New York City neighborhood of Hell’s Kitchen as the costumed hero known as Daredevil.

Steven S. DeKnight (Spartacus), Jeph Loeb (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), and Drew Goddard (The Cabin in the Woods) are executive producers for the series, with Goddard also having written and directed the first episode.
