Before you go watching it, however, be aware that the series includes some strong language and violence — so you may want to turn it up a little.
Based on Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming’s comic book series of the same name, Powers follows two detectives in the “Powers” division of the Los Angeles Police Department, tasked with investigating crimes that involve victims and perpetrators with superhuman abilities. District 9 star Sharlto Copley plays Detective Christian Walker, a former superhero who lost his powers, and Susan Heyward plays Detective Deena Pilgrim, Walker’s new partner.
30 Days of Night and Hannibal series director David Slade directed the first two episodes of Powers, and along with Copley and Heyward, the series stars Max Fowler, Adam Godley, Noah Taylor, Olesya Rulin, and Eddie Izzard.
New episodes of Powers will debut every Tuesday for PlayStation Plus subscribers.
