Sony today unveiled the Special Edition contents for its series-spanning PS4 compilation Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, revealing that early buyers will receive a batch of bonus goodies wrapped in exclusive packaging.

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection Special Edition includes a steelbook case, an exclusive slipcover, and a sheet of Uncharted-themed stickers featuring the series logo, developer Naughty Dog’s imprint, and a still image of franchise star Nathan Drake himself.

The package will also deliver a 48-page art book. Titled “The Art of The Uncharted Trilogy,” the mini-tome features “a hand-picked selection of concept art from Drake’s Fortune, Among Thieves and Drake’s Deception.”

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection includes the single-player campaigns from 2007’s Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, 2009’s Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and 2011’s Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. All featured games are newly optimized for the PlayStation 4, running at 60 frames-per-second and maintaining a 1080p presentation throughout.

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection also includes a digital code granting access to the upcoming Uncharted 4 multiplayer beta. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, due to launch for the PlayStation 4 in 2016, drags Nathan Drake out of retirement for an all-new adventure with his long-lost older brother Sam.

Sony has issued remakes of several of its most popular games over the last several years, bundling the results in compilations like The Sly Collection, Ratchet & Clank Collection, and The ICO & Shadow of the Colossus Collection. Recently, the publisher released an upgraded PlayStation 4 edition of its 2010 hack-and-slash action game God of War 3.

Another Naughty Dog-developed standout, The Last of Us, hit the PlayStation 4 for the first time last year with the launch of The Last of Us Remastered.

A special edition version of Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection has thus far only been confirmed for Europe; release plans for an equivalent special edition for North America were not announced. Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection is set to launch on October 9.

The Last of Us: Part 2 received a new trailer in late September that revealed a February 21, 2020, release date for the PlayStation 4 exclusive. However, it appears Sony may have jumped the gun on this news, as the game has reportedly already been delayed.

According to a new report from Kotaku, The Last of Us: Part 2 has been bumped to an undetermined final date next spring. The reason for the release date change was not revealed, but Naughty Dog has always valued perfection over getting a game out at its originally scheduled time. This was certainly the case with Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, which effectively had its own development rebooted after a change in leadership at the studio.
