Thanks to Arnimate, a unique augmented reality experience designed specifically with children in mind, coloring is more than just filling in the lines: It’s a fully immersive experience.
With Arnimate, each page in an interactive coloring books represent a different scene. When a page is fully colored, children (and adults, of course) can bring the creation to life using the associated mobile app, and watch as a live, three-dimensional scene unfolds. The setting and characters will be shaded in the colors chosen by the mini artist, and best of all, the characters then become touch-responsive and interactive on the app.
“This way, page after page,” Arnimate’s Kickstarter campaign explains, “children will create their own world. They will meet new characters and play fun and educational games, which will undoubtedly develop creative thinking and install thirst for learning new things.”
Each coloring book comes complete with 12 interactive scenes that let the user play a full game with the lead character. And with background music and sound effects, children can create their own video game experience, and can even view scenes from different vantage points. And because children can take photos with their favorite colors, they themselves can become one with the animation.
Right now, you can own one of these Arnimate coloring books for $10 (it will eventually retail for $17). With 31 days left on their Kickstarter, the Arnimate team is inching closer to their goal of $25,000 to bring coloring book characters to life.
