Latest Orphan Black season 4 trailer features new clones and old questions

Danger isn’t letting up for Sarah and the clones (played by Tatiana Maslany) in Orphan Black season 4. BBC America has released a new trailer in preparation for the show’s upcoming return, and the fast-paced preview teases more danger, mystery, and sisters.

Full of tension, ratcheted up by Sarah’s sporadic screams throughout, the trailer is all over the place. Though just one minute long, it does everything from (spoiler alert!) dropping hints at whether or not Delphine (Evelyne Brochu) survived being shot in the season 3 finale to giving us a better look at M.K., the newly discovered sheep-mask-wearing clone who lives off the grid. Scenes show explosives, matches, babies, exercise, a body bag, and more.

The trailer shows M.K. using her hacking skills, which will presumably come in handy as Sarah investigates the clones’ origins. M.K.’s new BBC America character bio reveals that she “knows a lot more than her clone sisters and may hold pertinent information that could reveal answers to their burning questions.” We expect to see a lot of her and her mask in season 4.

Nothing definite is revealed about Delphine in the preview, but viewers do get a quick glimpse of the scientist’s Dyad Institute employment file as it flashes on the screen. Amidst the other records, we see that her security level is listed as “Employment Suspended.” The fact that it is suspended seems temporary, possibly indicating that she is still alive.

In addition to unveiling the new trailer today, the Orphan Black Twitter account also shared bios for new characters we’ll be seeing in season 4.

Orphan: First Kill’s new trailer reveals Esther’s origin

This summer, Esther's back. Well, sort of. The deceptively youthful face who launched numerous memes made her debut in Orphan, the 2009 thriller starring Isabelle Fuhrman in the title role. Despite her childlike appearance, Esther is both a cold-blooded killer and a fully adult woman whose body suffers from hypopituitarism.

Esther was 33 in the original film, and Fuhrman is only 25, which means she's still young enough to portray Esther in the new prequel film, Orphan: First Kill. As you can see in the trailer below, First Kill may be a bit of a misnomer. Esther already seems to be very well-acquainted with the art of murder.

The Black Phone’s latest trailer is absolutely horrifying

Modern horror movies aren't always able to create actual scary moments. We know all of the tricks by now, and it's hard to be intimidated by a movie slasher if we know they'll be dealt with in the final act. However, The Black Phone looks like it's taking all of the old tricks and putting a fresh spin on the material. And in the latest trailer for the film, Ethan Hawke's villain, The Grabber, is truly chilling.

In the footage, a young boy named Finney Shaw has the misfortune of encountering The Grabber on a sidewalk. But rather than run away from this creepy clown magician, Finney sticks around long enough for The Grabber to make him disappear. Unfortunately for Finney, The Grabber has done this many times before, leaving several victims in his wake. But the murdered children have found a way to fight back through Finney, and an enigmatic black phone.

Orphan Black: Echoes is coming to AMC+ in 2023

Five years ago, Orphan Black's five-season run came to an end on BBC America. Now Clone Club is getting a new lease on life. AMC Networks has announced that the long-awaited spinoff series, Orphan Black: Echoes, is going forward. The new show will stream on AMC+, and it will also be available on AMC's linear networks.

The original Orphan Black followed Tatiana Maslany's Sarah Manning, a con artist who discovered that she was one of a number of nearly identical clones who were created in secret. And when Sarah and the rest of the clones were marked for death, she joined with her genetic sisters to overcome the forces against them.
