The 9.7-inch iPad Pro is available in stores as of Thursday, March 31, so you can try your chances there. Of course, you can order online instead, but unless you were one of the first to place your pre-order once the clock struck 12:01 a.m. PDT on March 24, you’ll almost definitely be receiving your new iPad in the mail after it’s been released in stores.
That said, ordering online will ensure you get the exact model you want and allow you to bypass the lines. Plus, you can order your new iPad while wearing pajamas — aka “thinking pants” — and licking Cheetos remnants off your fingertips. What do you have to lose?
Apple
Apple currently offers the 32GB model of the its new iPad Pro starting at $600, along with a 128GB model for $750, and high-end 256GB version for $900. Apple Care is an additional $100, and if you’d like to add cellular service to your iPad, it’s an extra $130 for all models.
Best Buy
Best Buy is now accepting orders for the 9.7-inch iPad Pro, starting at $600 for the 32GB model. The 128GB and 256GB models run $750 and $900, respectively, with Best Buy charging an additional $130 for cellular offerings (regardless of storage capacity).
AT&T
The amount you’ll pay per month for your iPad at AT&T depends on your credit. That said, plans start at $0 down and $36.50 per month for 20 months for the 32GB model. If you’re looking for more space, the 128GB model starts at $44 per month for 20 months and the 256GB models begins at $51.50 per month for 20 months. You can also buy the device outright from AT&T for the same retail price as Apple. The 32, 128, and 256GB models cost $600, $750 and $900, respectively.
Walmart
If you order from Walmart, you can actually pick up your device in stores for free. That said, it likely won’t be available for pick up until early April, depending on which store you plan to get your device from. If you order online and have the device shipped, estimated ship dates hover around April. Walmart is currently only accepting orders for the 32GB and 128GB Wi-Fi models, though, which cost $600 and $750, respectively. Walmart also offers a two year care plan for $60.
Verizon
Deals on the 9.7-inch iPad Pro through Verizon start at $30.41 per month for 24 months with the 32GB model. The 128GB or 256GB models will cost you $36.66 per month or $43 per month for 24 months, respectively. If you want to pay up front for the device, you can save yourself $200 by signing up for a two-year contract, or you can just purchase the device outright for the standard retail price. The 32, 128, and 256GB models cost $600, $750 and $900, respectively.
Target
Target currently doesn’t offer all color and storage combinations of the iPad Pro, but if you do find the model and color you’re looking for, you can order your device to be shipped to you on or up to five business days after Thursday, March 31. Target also offers the 9.7-inch iPad Pro at standard retail pricing, meaning you can purchase a 32GB model for $600, a 128GB for $750, and 256GB model for $900. Cellular configurations will cost you an extra $130.
T-Mobile
T-Mobile prices start at $0 up front and $30.42 per month for 24 months with the 32GB model. If you want more space, you’ll start running up the initial up front costs. The 128GB model, for instance, costs $160 up front and then runs for $30 per month for 24 months. The up front cost associated with the 256GB iPad is $310, but your monthly payment will remain at $30 per month for 24 months. T-Mobile also charges an additional $20 for your SIM card, which will enable you to access T-Mobile’s network.
Sprint
For those with good credit who want a 32GB iPad, Sprint offers plans starting at $0 down and $30.42 a month for 24 months. The 128GB model costs $100 up front and $32.50 a month for 24 months, while the 256GB version costs $200 up front and $34.59 a month for 24 months. You can save yourself $100 off the retail price of any model if you choose to pay entirely up front, however, assuming you sign up for a two-year contract with Sprint.
