The Audi A7 and S7 hatchbacks look so good that it’s hard to believe they’re already due to for a refresh, but that’s exactly what this svelte cruisers are getting for the 2015 model year.
Audi won’t mess with that already-perfect styling, but it will add a few minor touches. The most obvious change is the lights, which now feature a more angular design and the option of Audi’s Matrix LED system, which allows the high beams to stay on without blinding other drivers.
Other exterior changes include a slightly more chiseled grille, and sequential LED turn signals.
On the inside, the 2015 A7 and S7 will be available with a head-up display, which shows information from the Multi-Media Interface (MMI) infotainment system.
That’s piled on top of several existing tech options, including an MMI touch controller that recognizes handwriting, and a Bang & Olufsen sound system. On the aesthetic side, Audi has also added Beaufort walnut and Valcona leather to the interior-trim palette.
The 2015 A7 and S7 are largely unchanged mechanically, meaning the A7 still comes with a 3.0-liter supercharged V6 that produces 310 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque, or a 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 with 240 hp and 428 lb-ft.
Both engines are mated to an eight-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission, and Audi’s quattro all-wheel drive system.
The S7 features a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 that produces 450 hp, up from 420 hp in 2014 models. Its seven-speed S-tronic automatic transmission also benefits from a few tweaks.
The 2015 Audi A7 and S7 go on sale in Europe this summer, with a U.S. launch likely to follow shortly afterward. Expect the high-performance RS 7 to receive similar updates, too.
