Not long ago we gave you a quick glimpse at some preliminary sketches of Bertone’s Geneva-bound concept. The affectionately named Nuccio is named in honor of Nuccio Bertone — son of the Italian design house’s founder Giovanni Bertone — who took over after his father’s death in 1950 until his death in 1997.

Bertone-Nuccio-Profile

One look at the Nuccio and you can immediately see the styling house’s storied history seeping through its current design. Past hits and influences that are easy to spot include the Lamborghini Miura, Lancia Stratos, and the legendary Countach. The ground hugging, aerodynamic and wedge-shaped front end scream classic Bertone of the 1970’s, and is a testament to the company’s ongoing success.

Bertone’s latest is the work of current in house design chief Michael Robinson, and is said to commemorate the influential studio’s 100-year anniversary.
