Pavarotti’s pipes had nothing on this symphony of 3 Lamborghini Aventador V12s

A 12-cylinder Lamborghini is truly a gift that keeps on giving. After what was probably a long day of sparking the envy of everyone they passed throughout the city, three Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 owners lined up their exotics to belt out a sonorous chorus of exhaust notes that would put the three tenors to shame.

The 6.5-liter, 12-cylinder engines in the bays of the Italian super cars can generate up to 700 horsepower, and it takes a lot of heat to get that much bang out of your V12, which is evident in the video. The revving symphony took a back seat to an impromptu fire fight to see which bad bull can beltch out the biggest flame tail.

Aventador flame war

When it’s moving, the Aventador, the replacement for Lamborghini’s Murciélago, can get from 0 to 60 in just under three seconds. It will also max out at a top speed of 217 mph … if you have a stretch of tarmac long enough. There’s a convertible version available, too, that lets you remove the top so that all that lovely exhaust note can be enjoyed on the go, without the need to swing up a scissor-door.

We’ll leave it to you to decide who comes out on top of this flame war, but I think we can all agree that the absurdity of three Italian supercars revving with reckless abandon is just part of the charming madness of exotics we love so much.
