Porsche fans take their favorite cars very seriously, particularly when it comes to the track-oriented 911 GT3 RS. A new generation model is set to debut at the Geneva Auto Show next week, answering many questions as to its capabilities. Surprisingly, we won’t even have to wait until then as a spec sheet has leaked online, revealing loads of info.
The spec sheet, posted on Axis Of Oversteer, claims that the GT3 RS will be powered by a 4.0-liter flat-six-cylinder engine that will produce 500 horsepower and around 340 pound-feet of torque. All this power will be channeled to the rear wheels by a seven-speed PDK dual clutch transmission. It also looks like the GT3 RS will incorporate torque vectoring and will have a wider track than the standard 911 GT3.
A “pit speed” button now makes its way into the cabin, reducing the car to the regulated speed when it boxes on a track day. Apart from the aforementioned specs and a few small details, there doesn’t see a vast difference between this new GT3 RS and the previous one, which is actually a good thing.
Those chomping at the bit to learn more about the GT3 RS were looking more to confirm or dispel any frightening rumors about a turbo engine ending up in their favorite naturally-aspirated sports car. While this information should bring them some satisfaction, they may still feel burned that no six-speed manual is being offered.

We don’t yet know what it will look like (well, we have some idea), but we’re talking about a 911 here, so any body changes will be quite subtle. A short wait until next week will confirm if the spec sheet is real when the 911 GT3 RS debuts in Geneva.
