The very latest creation from exotic car maker, Shelby Supercars, the Shelby Tuatara, gets it moniker from a reptile native of New Zealand. However, the similarities might not stop there, with an as-yet-to-be-determined price, the Shelby Tuatara may just be as rare and mysterious as it’s reptile cousin. Not much is known about the SSC Tuatara, other than it is being designed by acclaimed American supercar designer Jason Castriota and features a carbon fiber body design, a 7.0l twin turbo V8 that can potentially churn out roughly 1350hp, a seven speed manual or SMG transmission, and one piece carbon fiber wheels. While other details remaining top secret for the time being, it is confirmed that the Tuatara can reach 0-62 miles per hour in 2.8 seconds and a top speed is estimated at 275 miles per hour. Regardless of it’s final specs, the SSC Tuatara is shaping up to be a supercar to be reckoned with.
