The special edition expands on the Crosstrek’s 2.0i Premium trim level, adding a power moonroof, blackened headlight bezels, and body color foldable mirrors that will match the new exclusive body color: Sunrise Yellow. This edition will be limited to a run of 1,000 models and will be priced at $25,290 plus destination fees.
Apart from these additions, the special edition XV Crosstrek doesn’t differ from the regular 2.0i premium version of the car. Drivers will still get a 2.0-liter four-cylinder boxer engine that produces 148 horsepower. The power is sent to the all-wheel drive system through a CVT transmission, which also has a six-speed pre-set ratios drivers can flick through manually with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters.
It also still retains the Standard Symetrical All Wheel Drive system that rides on a four-wheel independent suspension. That, combined with the 8.7 inches of ground clearance give the Subaru the chops to take things off road yet maintain relatively comfortable.
Subaru’s celebratory yellow crossover is due to hit dealer lots this spring, just in time to brighten things up for an easter time excursion.
