Acer unveiled its newest Chromebook, the C720P, which sports an Intel Celeron 2955U Haswell processor, 11.6-inch 1366 x 768 LED backlit, 2GB of RAM, a 32GB SSD and 802.11a/b/g/n WiFi. It’s also the first Chromebook put out by Acer with a touch-enabled display. Port selection includes a USB 3.0 connector, USB 2.0, HDMI-out, a lock slot for security purposes, 3.5mm for audio and a connector for the C720P’s charger. There’s also an integrated webcam.
If you or your loved one is always on the go, the Acer Chromebook C720P won’t be a drag to lug around at all. It weighs just under three pounds; 2.98-lbs to be exact. It’s also 0.78 inches thick. On top of that, if you opt to snag a Acer Chromebook C720P, you’ll get 100GB of Google Drive storage for free, as well as a dozen Gogo Inflight passes for nothin’, allowing you to surf the web while you jet from Point A to Point B.
Now, for arguably the best part: price. The Acer Chromebook C720P will only run you $299.99, and will be available from Amazon, Best Buy and the Acer Store starting in “early December.” If whoever you’re buying for has light computing needs that consist mostly of web surfing, email and office suite tasks, the Acer Chromebook C720P just might be the perfect fit.
