Kanguru Releases Portable Biometric HD

Kanguru Solutions, a maker of portable computer storage and security solutions, today announced the release of the new BioStor, a USB 2.0 hard drive which features biometric security. It ranges in size from 40GB to 100GB and price from $229.95 to $349.95.

The BioStor, according to Kanguru, has a biometric sensor located on the top of the external drive which scans and allows access to the hard drive once an exact fingerprint is confirmed. The drive has a reported encryption speed of 1.6 Gigabits per second and automatically locks when disconnected from a PC to protect the encrypted data.

Google provided more details on its upcoming Bard AI during a livestreamed event on Wednesday. Positioned as a competitor to the viral AI chatbot ChatGPT, Google Bard promises to integrate AI into search results -- eventually, at least.
