Logitech’s G302 Daedalus Prime mouse aims to be a key ally in games like League of Legends

Simply designing generic gaming peripherals is no longer enough for outfits like Logitech. They now spend a lot of time, effort, and money trying to cater to the specific needs and preferences of gamers.

Now, the company is about to launch the G302 Daedalus Prime, a new mouse from Logitech that’s aimed at MOBA gamers. According to Logitech, the mouse has been tested by professionals, and targets “the best eSports athletes in the world.” MOBA, in case you’re wondering, stands for “Multiplayer Online Battle Arena.” Think of games like League of Legends, and DOTA 2.

It may not necessarily be an aesthetic knockout, but the G302 stands out by finding a seemingly ideal balance between compact size, and durability.

Made to withstand 20 million clicks, the mouse weighs just under four and a half ounces. Logitech’s own G402 Hyperion Fury, by comparison, weighs just over five ounces. A lighter mouse may mean quicker reaction times, and more victories for you.

However, we’re afraid that no optional wireless model is offered. But perhaps that’s for the best, as you wouldn’t want precision to suffer from a dead, or dying battery. The Daedalus Prime is capable of response times of one millisecond.

The Daedalus makes good on its mythical name by allowing you to instantly switch between up to four DPI settings on the fly. Sensitivity starts at 240 DPI, and can go all the way up to 4,000, though that doesn’t break any records. We can’t help but wonder whether anyone has detected any differences between 4,000, and 8,200 DPI mice when gaming.

Responsiveness and speed are reportedly improved by an innovative metal spring system.  That could not only boost your chances of winning, but also make clicking less of a pain (literally and figuratively) after hours of uninterrupted gaming.

Finally, you have six programmable buttons here. Once again, that’s not a world record, but still appreciated considering the target audience, as well as the palatable price.

You can pre-order the G302 Daedalus Prime now for $50, with shipping set to kick off sometime this month.

If you’re into MOBA games, you’ll likely fall head over heels in love with the Daedalus Prime, which could be one of the most accurate, responsive, durable, yet affordable gaming mice around.

Trying to buy a GPU in 2023 almost makes me miss the shortage
Two AMD Radeon RX 7000 graphics cards on a pink surface.

The days of the GPU shortage are long over, but somehow, buying a GPU is harder than ever -- and that sentiment has very little to do with stock levels. It's just that there are no obvious candidates when shopping anymore.

In a generation where no single GPU stands out as the single best graphics card, it's hard to jump on board with the latest from AMD and Nvidia. I don't want to see another GPU shortage, but the state of the graphics card market is far from where it should be.
This generation is all over the place

This tiny ThinkPad can’t quite keep up with the MacBook Air M2
Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Nano Gen 3 rear view showing lid and logo.

While the laptop industry continues to move toward 14-inch laptops and larger, the 13-inch laptop remains an important category. One of the best is the Apple MacBook Air M2, with an extremely thin and well-built chassis, great performance, and incredibly long battery life.

Lenovo has recently introduced the third generation of its ThinkPad X1 Nano, one of the lightest laptops we've tested and a good performer as well. It's stiff competition, but which of these two diminutive laptops stands apart?
