Logitech today announced the release of the harmonious sounding ‘Fusion’ as the latest member of the QuickCam family of webcams.

Ushered in with a price tag of $99.99 MSRP, the QuickCam Fusion has been bolstered with a true 1.3 megapixel sensor, Logitech’s ‘RightLight’ and ‘RightSound’ technologies and Logitech’s new ‘Video Effects’ software, all hoping to make the Fusion a gold blend in itself.

With Logitech’s expectations of the hardware and software blended ‘Fusion’ being high, a number of points of interest to be noted are improved video performance and clear, echo-free audio, which Logitech hope will make the ‘Fusion’ a new benchmark for consumer webcam performance.

Expected to be available this month, we shall see whether ‘Fusion’ really does live up to its name.

Recent leaks have showcased the design of an upcoming Logitech handheld gaming device, which is set to be a competitor to popular products, including the Valve Steam Deck and the Nintendo Switch.

Industry informant Evan Blass aka @evleaks shared images of the device on Twitter, detailing that the gaming handheld would have a focus on Google Play games, which could suggest Android compatibility. Additionally, the device is expected to stream "games from cloud services such as Xbox Cloud Gaming and GeForce Now," according to Tom's Hardware.

The webcam features an f/2.0 aperture Sony Starvis brand sensor, the same kind of sensor found in the Razer Kiyo Pro and Dell UltraSharp 4K webcam. Unlike those $200 cameras, the Dell Pro Webcam comes in at a more affordable $135 price.
