Have you got a hankering for an all-in-one PC but don’t like what’s currently on offer? Then perhaps MSI’s new Pro 16 Flex will be just what you need. This new offering features a 15.6-inch touch interface, an adjustable kickstand, a powerful battery, and the ability to convert into whatever kind of computer is needed at the time.
Looking for a tablet? Just fold it flat and use it as one. Need a laptop or desktop? Put it on your desk and attach a Bluetooth or USB keyboard. You can even hang it from a sturdy surface, or use it as a media-viewing display, in stand mode.
The 1,366 x 768 LED display is powered by an Intel Celeron N3150 CPU, so don’t expect it to be a powerhouse, but that is paired with up to 8GB of RAM and a terabyte of 7,200 RPM hard drive storage space.

Other features include the addition of a pair of two-watt speakers, a DVD drive, and an HD webcam. Connectivity-wise, there are two USB 3.1 ports, a USB 3.0 port, three USB 2.0 ports, a Gigabit Ethernet connector, an HDMI out, and support for wireless 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi.
It also has a pair of COM ports for connecting to commercially oriented accessories like receipt printers, barcode scanners, and credit card readers.
There’s even a wall-mounting kit in the box, letting you set up the Pro Flex 16 in just about any scenario you can imagine.
Although in static mode you might want to power this device with the AC adaptor, it does have a built in Li-Ion battery providing 1,300mAh as well, so you can take it out and about and continue using it as you go. It’s also entirely passively cooled, which not only means that this is a device that features good power management, but that it will be entirely silent during use.
No pricing details have yet been released, but availability should begin at the start of April.
