Nero Unveils Nero 7

Nero, a developer of CD/DVD-software applications, today announced the release of Nero 7, their flagship all-in-one integrated digital media and home entertainment software package. It is available in retailers now.   Nero 7 delivers 18 applications in one suite, Nero said. Besides the addition of Nero Home, a TV and PC multimedia management and distribution system which can be controlled with a remote, other features of Nero 7 allow users to search, organize and playback media files organized into a database, back up files in fully or incrementally, burn DVDs and CDs, edit and author videos and DVDs and edit, record and mix 5.1 and 7.1 audio as well as audio CDs and CD compilations.   "Nero 7 is the culmination of innovative engineering, end-user requests and demands, and industry direction and convergence," said Richard Lesser, CEO Nero AG, "We have hit the nail on the head with the addition of Nero Home to Nero 7: users no longer need to be in front of their PCs to view and listen to their media files; they can access their entire libraries in front of the TV."

The Microsoft Surface Pro 7+ in laptop form, on a desk.

There's no shortage of 2-in-1 laptop deals online, but few will match the popularity of Microsoft's Surface Pro line of devices. If you want to get one for cheap and you don't mind going for an older model, you should take advantage of Best Buy's $230 discount for the Microsoft Surface Pro 7+ with Type Cover, which brings the bundle's price down to $700 from $930. We're not sure when the offer expires though, so it's highly recommended that you purchase it now so that you don't miss out.

Why you should buy the Microsoft Surface Pro 7+ with Type Cover
The latest version of Microsoft's Surface Pro devices is the Microsoft Surface Pro 9, but even with the nearly two-year gap, the Microsoft Surface Pro 7+ will still prove to be a dependable device for daily use. A mid-cycle upgrade of the Microsoft Surface Pro 7, the Microsoft Surface Pro 7+ features improved components with the 11th-generation Intel Core i3 processor and 8GB of RAM. The device is powered by Windows 11 Home, as expected, with the operating system pre-installed in its 128GB SSD that will provide ample space for your apps and files.

Intel Meteor Lake chip.

The Core "i" branding of Intel processors has been around for 15 years, first appearing in its "first-generation" Core chips launched in 2008. Now, that's some legacy.

But Intel has confirmed that in its upcoming Meteor Lake chips, it's doing away with the naming scheme entirely. In place of the instantly recognizable Core i3, i5, i7, and i9 brands, Intel will be using "Core Ultra" in these new chips. The details, however, are not yet known.
