PowerHouse Technologies Group, the company which sells the Migo information management software, today announced that their flagship product is now compatible with most types of USB storage devices. This is a step up from their original USB flash drive only use.
The Migo software, PowerHouse said, allows Windows-based PC users to store and synchronize documents, Outlook email, IE favorites and other common files across multiple computers. It creates the user’s familiar PC environment by carrying over settings such as desktop icons and wallpaper. All of this is run off of the USB storage device and is removed from the host computer when the device is disconnected.
The expansion of the Migo software onto other types of USB storage devices now includes most types of flash drives, memory cards and Windows-formatted MP3 players.
“The Migo software essentially transforms the USB flash drive from a basic floppy disk on a keychain to a complete portable personal computing device,” said Jay Elliot, chief executive officer of PowerHouse Technologies. “The software adds intelligence to USB flash drives, revolutionizing business and personal computing mobility by allowing Migo users to take their personal computing environment with them wherever they go.”
