Samsung Galaxy S2 and 10.1-inch Honeycomb tablet outed by Korean news site

It seems that Samsung will be formally unveiling a new Honeycomb-powered 10.1-inch tablet and the Galaxy S2 smartphone later today in its keynote at the 2011 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The tablet had previously been rumored, but an apparently broken embargo on Korean news site Paran (via Engadget) reveals technical details for both devices, all but ensuring at least some of the details of today’s announcement.

The Galaxy S2 will be rocking an Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, a 4.3-inch display, a 1GHz dual-core processor, HSPA+ (read: faster wireless), Bluetooth 3.0 and Wi-Fi support up to and including wireless-N. It’s thin too, just 8.49mm. The tablet will also feature a 1GHz dual-core processor, as well as an 8 megapixel camera with HD recording and dual surround sound speakers. Bear in mind that this information comes from a translated website, so some details may be missing or incorrect. Samsung will have the official word soon enough.

Previous rumors pegged the Samsung tablet as having a Qualcomm dual-core processor, though that seemed suspicious given the existence of the company’s Exynos chips. The tablet was also said to feature a slightly larger display than the one in Apple’s iPad, which seems to be the case based on today’s report.

Trying to buy a GPU in 2023 almost makes me miss the shortage
Two AMD Radeon RX 7000 graphics cards on a pink surface.

The days of the GPU shortage are long over, but somehow, buying a GPU is harder than ever -- and that sentiment has very little to do with stock levels. It's just that there are no obvious candidates when shopping anymore.

In a generation where no single GPU stands out as the single best graphics card, it's hard to jump on board with the latest from AMD and Nvidia. I don't want to see another GPU shortage, but the state of the graphics card market is far from where it should be.
This generation is all over the place
