Warner Brothers has suspended sales of Batman: Arkham Knight for PC on Steam and elsewhere. In a big apologetic address, the company said that it takes all issues related to game performance and play-ability seriously and would endeavor to have them fixed as soon as possible.
The problems faced by PC gamers included graphical glitches, major performance issues — that saw even Titan X cards slowed to a crawl — and file integrity bugs that forced people to re-download large portions of the game. None of these issues made an appearance on the console versions; only the PC port was affected.

While many were quick to blame the primary developer, Rocksteady, it seems another party is to blame — Iron Galaxy, a small 12 man studio previously known for porting games like Borderlands 2 to different platforms. While in the past it’s done a good job, that hasn’t been the case here, and fans are livid.
Of course, the real blame might be placed on the publisher, Warner Brothers, which arranged the out-sourced PC development in the first place. The company released a statement alongside its decision to pull the PC version, saying “We greatly value our customers and know that while there are a significant amount of players who are enjoying the game on PC, we want to do whatever we can to make the experience better for PC players overall.”
The company went on to thank fans for their patience and suggested that if they didn’t trust the developers to fix the issues in time, that they should request a refund through Valve’s new policy. Green Man Gaming has also adjusted its own policy to make it possible for those affected to receive refunds for this problematic title.
