Aerielle, a maker of advanced wireless technologies, is set this week to unveil a new Internet radio device for iPods and other portable media players. The new Timeless Radio device is scheduled to be available by the 2006 holiday season.
The Timeless Radio device, said Aerielle, combines an electronic appliance with an online service so that users can bring a variety of Internet media together onto a single device for later transfer to and playback from an iPod or other media device. The Timeless Radio appliance, working through the Web service, lets users schedule and record a variety of Internet radio and other streaming media feeds. It can be accessed remotely through a Web based control, offers an audio connection for hooking up external speakers and can hold up to 20GB of recorded digital content.
