Griffin Announces an iTrip for the nano

Griffin Technology, one of the most popular makers of accessories for the iPod, today announced they were releasing a new version of their iTrip FM transmitter. This particular device, designed specifically for the new nano, will be available in November for $49.99.

The iTrip for the iPod nano, said Griffin, allows users to listen to the player’s audio via FM signals transmitted and picked up by their stereo. The nano slides into the iTrip’s dock and is securely attached via micro grip technology. This combined look helps to keep the combined profile slim, according to Griffin.

Other features of the new nano iTrip include display of station and set up information through the player’s screen, dynamic volume adjustment, selectable mono or stereo FM modes and charging and syncing of the nano when the iTrip’s built in USB port is connected to a computer.

“Customers rave about the stunning iPod Nano display,” said Paul Griffin of Griffin Technology. “We felt the cleverest solution for this product was to allow users to interact with their iTrip using the nano’s display.”

Autonomous vehicle navigation technology is certainly nothing new and has been in the works for the better part of a decade at this point. But one of the most common forms we see and hear about is the type used to control steering in road-based vehicles. That's not the only place where technology can make a huge difference.
