Griffin Technology, a maker of accessories for Apple’s iPod, today announced the availability of an iPod focused remote control. The new AirClick Remote is available now for $39.99.
The AirClick Remote, Griffin said, uses RF technology which allows users to control their iPod (as well as PCs and Macs if the AirClick USB is purchased) from up to 60 feet away. Since it is RF technology, users do not have to be within line of sight to remotely control their digital audio player.
Contents of the AirClick Remote package include the small remote which sports play/pause, next track, previous track, volume up and volume down buttons as well as a hold switch, a receiver that mounts to the iPod and a remote cradle. Different configurations allow the AirClick Remote to work with various iPods from the mini to 3G through most current models.
