Though there’s been no official press release about it as of yet, new reviews posted at Cnet and PC Magazine, as well as an official page, reveal that portable media player company iRiver has today released an upgraded version of its U10 player. The new iRiver Clix is priced at $199.99 and looks to be available now.
The iRiver Clix, like the U10 before it, is capable of playing music (MP3, WMA, ASF, OGG) and video (MPEG-4) as well as displaying JPEG photos. It also supports Macromedia Flash Player content and online music and video subscription services like Yahoo Music Unlimited and CinemaNow which use Microsoft’s PlaysForSure copy protection. The Clix works with Microsoft Windows and Windows Media Player 10 or greater for managing content.
Other features of the iRiver Clix include a 2.2†color display, built-in FM tuner, integrated voice recorder, 2GB of storage, USB 2.0 support and an alarm clock.
