Saitek Industries, a maker of computer related products, earlier this week announced they’d begun shipping their line of Digital Media Entertainment products. The company is touting their new A200 Portable 2.1 Speaker System ($99), A250 Wireless 2.1 Speaker System ($129) and A350 Wireless Headphones ($99) as designed to fit the “home entertainment†style by ditching the plain white look found on many similar products.
The A200 speakers utilizes what Saitek calls an “expanded air volume system†technology to generate better bass and high range sounds from its quasi triangular shape. This “air volume system†rises up from the A200 as the power button is touched. It produces 2.1 stereo sound and can run for 24 hours on four AAA batteries.
The A250 speakers use new wireless technology which pairs the speakers with a Bluetooth wireless USB dongle which is plugged into a computer. The unit includes a backlit screen and various button controls, can be connected to a portable audio device through a 3.5mm jack and runs for up to 20 hours on four AAA batteries.
The A350 wireless headphones use Bluetooth and an included wireless dongle to give listeners up to 25 feet to roam. They use neodymium in-ear speakers to help with the sound quality, have a behind the head design and sport a rechargeable battery which offers up to eight hours of listening time.
