TEN Technology yesterday said they were replacing their flexiDock mini for iPod mini car mount unit with a model which will fit all dockable iPods. The flexibleDock Adjustable Car Dock and Charger for iPod will be available later this week for $49.95.
The flexibleDock Adjustable Car Dock and Charger for iPod, TEN Technology said, works with most standard cigarette lighter sockets to charge all dockable iPods, including iPod with Video, iPod nano, iPod mini, iPod with Color Display, iPod Photo, Click Wheel iPod, U2 iPod, and iPod with Dock Connector.
Other features of the flexibleDock include being securely on a slender adjustable metal arm, allowing for better positioning in the vehicle and an adjustable line out which supports a cassette adapter, FM transmitter or line input cable to play iPod music through the car stereo.
“As Apple continues to shrink its iPod line, it will become ever more important for users to have a secure place in their vehicle to charge and display their iPods,” said John Lin, TEN Technology, CEO and founder. “The new nano iPod is almost TOO small — if you don’t keep an eye on that little guy, it is sure to disappear. TEN’s flexibleDock ensures that won’t happen and even charges the nano (and any other iPod) while displaying it securely and safely for the driver.”
