Digital Trends Live: Amazon’s drone deliveries, Ubercopter, and PlayStation 5

On this episode of Digital Trends Live, host Greg Nibler is joined by DT Video Producer Riley Winn to discuss the top trending tech stories of the day, including the latest on Amazon’s planned drone deliveries, YouTube’s purge of extremist videos, Ubercopter taking flight, more details on Sony’s PS5, the 35th anniversary of Tetris, and more.

Nibler is then joined by special guest Moira Forbes, executive vice president of Forbes and publisher of ForbesWomen, to discuss the upcoming 7th Annual Forbes Women’s Summit.

We then welcome Sara Eckhouse, executive director of FoodShot Global, an organization focused on bringing venture capitalists, nonprofits, and innovative food startups together.

Finally, Brent Pfister, marketing and general management executive at Tempur Sealy International, joins Nibler to talk about the importance of a good night’s sleep, and the company’s new bed, the Tempur-Breeze.

PlayStation VR2’s launch lineup features more than just Horizon Call of the Mountain

At CES 2023, Sony confirmed that there would be over 30 launch titles for PlayStation VR2. Today, we learned specifics on what exactly 37 of those PlayStation VR2 launch window games are on PlayStation Blog.
This announcement also contains 13 new titles that we didn't know were coming to PlayStation VR before. Particular new highlights include Before Your Eyes, an emotionally moving game where blinking is the main form of interaction, Tetris Effect: Connected, a multiplayer-enhanced version of one the original PlayStation VR's best games, and What the Bat?, a comedy game where the player's arms are bats. Of course, the crown jewel of PlayStation VR2's launch is still Horizon Call of the Mountain, a VR spin-off of one of PlayStation's most successful recent franchises.

CES 2023: Project Leonardo is PlayStation’s new accessibility-focused controller

Sony is creating a new PlayStation controller built with accessibility in mind, dubbed Project Leonardo. The "highly customizable" controller aims to allow more players to experience PlayStation games.

The new comes from Sony's CES 2023 keynote, which featured several gaming announcements. The company put an emphasis on innovation at the show, revealing additional details about the PlayStation VR2 and more. Project Leonardo came as an unexpected surprise, though.

Elden Ring, Modern Warfare II discounted in big PlayStation holiday sale

PlayStation's annual holiday sale is now live offering discounts up to 75% off on a wide variety of games, old and new. The sale includes some of 2022's heavy hitters, from Elden Ring to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II.

The sale is live right now and you can access it through the PlayStation Store on consoles or a web browser. There are 3,725 items on sale in total, though that list includes discounts on in-game currency for games like Grand Theft Auto V as well as special editions of games.
