AirPods Pro, Apple Watch Series 3 still on sale at Memorial Day prices

Memorial Day has come and gone but the AirPods Pro and Apple Watch Series 3 are still at their Memorial Day prices. The Apple Watch Series 3, while no longer the latest Apple Watch, is still a fantastic and up-to-date wearable worth having and is currently on sale at Amazon for just $179. In addition, the AirPods Pro are the best true wireless earbuds to get if you’re an iOS user and have been discounted to just $228, down from $250.

Apple Watch Series 3

– $179, was $199

The Apple Watch Series 3 used to be the best smartwatch that you could buy (that honor has now been bestowed upon the Series 5), with an interface that easily eclipses Android Wear and a design that’s a huge hit among consumers. It also functions phenomenally as a fitness tracker and thanks to a new dual-core processor, it has become faster than ever. However, it still remains a pricey smartphone accessory and not an essential device. Fortunately, since it’s no longer the latest model, it’s not hard to find the Series 3 with massive price cuts on several online retail sites. Right now, you can get the 38mm GPS version of it at Amazon for just $179 instead of $199. What’s more, you can get $10 off instantly upon approval for the Amazon Store Card, reducing the price even further to $169.

Syncing the Apple Watch Series 3 to your iPhone via Bluetooth allows you to receive real-time notifications and music playback control. You can get notified of calls, text messages, and social media alerts even if your phone is tucked away in your bag. This smartwatch doesn’t have a built-in eSim card, though, so you cannot make phone calls on your wrist. For that, you need to spend a few extra bucks and get the cellular version, although we wouldn’t really recommend it. While making a call without having to get your phone is pretty convenient, the watch’s speaker isn’t very loud. Hearing the person you’re calling when outside can be quite challenging, not to mention that the entire process may make you look a tad ridiculous.

The Apple Watch Series 3 is a very reliable fitness tracker. It boasts a gamut of health-centric sensors, including a heart rate monitor, accelerometer, and gyroscope. With this watch you can track a multitude of activities, including walking, running, swimming, and cycling. When you’ve been sitting for too long, this watch will remind you to get off your feet and take a brief walk. It also helps you relieve pent-up stress through the Breathe mindfulness feature. All health stats and metrics are aggregated in the Activity app.

This smartwatch comes with a strap band called a “Sports Loop.” It has a simple hook-and-eye system that’s guaranteed to fit all wrist sizes. The band is replaceable if you wish to get other styles, colors, and even materials. The watch face is also fully customizable, with a variety of designs to suit your personality.

Even though it’s not the latest or the most feature-packed Apple Watch, the Series 3 is still great value for your money. Get it at Amazon today for just $179.

AirPods Pro

— $228, was $249

It’s probably pretty obvious that we weren’t all that impressed with the standard AirPods. There are just several other true wireless earbuds out there that offer better value for your hard-earned money. So when Apple announced it was going to release the souped-up AirPod Pro, we were naturally skeptical. Will the company be able to deliver this time and improve on all the areas that the AirPods failed at? The answer is a resounding yes. The AirPods Pro are shockingly good and a huge win for Apple. Their sound quality has improved tremendously, their noise-canceling is spectacular, and they’re extremely comfortable to use even for long periods. The only problem we foresee is their questionable long-term battery life. Right now, you can score the AirPods Pro at Amazon for $230 instead of $249 – a cool $19 off.

Love it or hate, the AirPods’ golf-tee design is iconic, so Apple didn’t stray too far away from it when designing the AirPods Pro. They just now sport a shorter stem, which brings us to this major concern: Battery life. While the AirPods Pro offer the same battery performance as the standard AirPods (roughly 4.5 to 5 hours of listening time and/or 3.5 hours of call time per charge), we fear that their smaller batteries might not last in the long run. Unlike the Airpods, the AirPods Pro come with three sets of silicone eartips that snap on with a satisfying click instead of sliding onto a little nubbin as so many other in-ear buds require. This change not only offers a more secure and comfortable fit but also contributes to a better bass response.

The AirPods Pro inherit the original AirPods’ controls, which means they’re ridiculously easy to operate and, as expected, Siri is always listening and ready to obey your every command. As with most true wireless buds with active noise-canceling, you have the option to either shut noise out or let it all in. Apple calls the latter feature “Transparency Mode” and activating this allows sounds from the outside world to arrive in a very natural way, almost as if you’ve taken the buds themselves out. Noise-canceling is decidedly top-notch and almost on par with what over-ear ANC headphones offer. Last but certainly not least, the AirPods Pro deliver a pretty impressive sonic performance. Their sound signature is terrific, rich in subtle details with some zesty treble, rounded-up by a full-bodied bass.

We tip our hats to the Apple AirPods Pro. These are absolutely the best true wireless earbuds that you can get if you’re an iOS user. Get them for $228 at Amazon today.

GoPro Hero10 price slashed from $550 to $300 in the Prime Day sale
A bundle featuring the GoPro Hero10 Black action camera.

If you've been planning to buy the GoPro Hero10 Black, you did the right thing waiting for Prime Day deals because a bundle that includes the action camera with several accessories is down to just $300 from its original price of $550. The $250 discount from Amazon pushes it under its previous low of $311, but you'll need to proceed with the purchase immediately if you want to take advantage of this offer because we're expecting it to generate a lot of attention from shoppers, so stocks will sell out quickly.

Why you should buy the GoPro Hero10 Black bundle
It's not the latest model of the action camera company -- that distinction goes to the GoPro Hero11 Black and GoPro Hero11 Mini -- but the GoPro Hero10 Black remains a worthwhile investment because of the power of the GP2 processor that promises smooth performance and responsive controls. The action camera can take photos at up to 23MP resolution, and record videos at up to 5.3K resolution and 60 frames per second. The GoPro Hero10 Black also offers HyperSmooth 4.0 for extreme optical image stabilization, better low-light performance, and horizon leveling.

DJI Mini 3 Pro drone just got a big price cut for Prime Day 2023
The DJI Mini 3 Pro in flight with spring flowers in the background.

There are a lot of great drone deals flying around during Prime Day, and you'll be happy to know that there's an excellent deal on the DJI Mini 3 Pro, which is easily one of the best drones you can grab right now. Amazon has discounted the DJI Mini 3 Pro to $729 from the usual $888, which is a massive $159 discount and well worth grabbing if you want an excellent drone.

Why you should buy the DJI Mini 3 Pro (DJI RC)
As legislation makes the number of flyable drones without a license smaller and smaller, the DJI Mini 3 Pro sits right at the edge, with a total weight of 249 grams. Yet, for such a tiny drone, it still packs a ton of features, such as the ability to record up to 4k at 60FPS, capture 48MP RAW photos, and even have dual-native ISO for HDR capture, which isn't something you see on a lot of smaller drones. It's also quite speedy, being able to hit 35mph, which, granted, isn't as fast as some other drones, but that does work in its favor, especially if you're crash-prone. You can pick three speeds: Cine (slow), normal, and sports (fast), although the latter has collision avoidance switched off, so be careful at that speed.
