DirecTV Now
This deal has expired.

Cord-cutting, the practice of replacing traditional cable and satellite TV packages with paid streaming services, has become increasingly popular in recent years and is showing no signs of slowing down. Along with freeing you from cable boxes and satellite dishes (hence the “cord-cutting” moniker), switching to streaming makes it easier to pick and choose what channels and on-demand content you’re paying for so that you’re not wasting hard-earned cash on packages that contain stuff you don’t need.

AT&T rolled out its own service, DirecTV Now, last November. Competition is stiff with many companies offering their own streaming packages, but DirecTV Now has so far been a success and offers some unique advantages such as being among the first to implement offline viewing. What really sets DirecTV Now apart, however, are its 120-plus live channels – something many other streaming services lack – so you no longer have to give up live news, sports, and other shows when you get rid of cable. Cloud DVR and 4K HDR streaming capability are also on the way.

Another good reason to switch to DirecTV Now is AT&T’s limited-time promo that lets you score a free Roku Premiere streaming device when you sign up for a new membership and pay for two months in advance. The Premiere is one of Roku’s best offerings yet, capable of streaming 4K content at 60 frames per second with the same great apps and Roku’s slick UI. Along with your free Roku Premiere, a new DirecTV Now subscription gets you:

  • 60-120+ live channels: Stream more than 120 live TV channels (depending on your subscription), including regional sports networks and local live channels where available. With DirecTV Now, you no longer have to give up your favorite live programs when you ditch your cable or satellite service.
  • 20,000 shows and movies on demand: Along with live channels, DirecTV Now gives you access to more than 20,000 popular television shows and movies on demand.
  • Additional premium channels: Easily add your favorite premium channels like HBO, Starz, and Cinemax to your subscription for as little as $5 per month – no more packages that force you to pay for a bundle of channels you’ll never watch.

Note that while you must prepay for two months in order to snag this deal, you are not roped into any long-term contracts and are free to cancel your DirecTV Now subscription at any time with no exorbitant cancellation fees. The free Roku offer is limited to two per customer and will only remain available through Friday, September 22.

Save $200 on this 75-inch Vizio QLED 4K TV at Walmart
Vizio 2023 M-series TV hanging on a wall.

Usually when we find great deals on TVs, they aren't this year's model. But that isn't always true. Today, we found a 75-inch Vizio MQ6 QLED 4K TV going for $200 off. At an original price of $898, and a sale price of $698, that makes it nearly (but not quite) 25% off. Did something go wrong? Do the people hate this TV? Apparently not, as the TV is incredibly highly reviewed by Walmart customers. (This is a Walmart deal, so go ahead and tap the button below to see for yourself.) Could it really be that Walmart is just this generous, this early? Read on to find out more about one of the quickest TV deals we're seeing right now, a bit about the QLED technology behind it, and why you should buy it.

Why you should buy a 75-inch Vizio MQ6 QLED 4K TV
Walmart wants you to see the word "NEW" in big letters when you see this TV. So, what are we seeing on this TV that warrants the capital letters? Well, for a TV in this price range, and comparing it to other members of the best TVs like it that are slightly older, we can find some contrasts. For example, the 75-inch Vizio MQ6 QLED 4K TV emphasizes Wi-Fi 6 connectivity. It's a lightning fast internet protocol that isn't exactly new, but about to become increasingly useful as more and more Wi-Fi 6 routers are being used and internet connections are at the speed to support it. Other improvements include the 'ThinFrame Design' a clear homage to Samsung's The Frame. Beyond that, expect many of the great things you would from any 4K TV, including Bluetooth headphone support, free viewing options, and a 60Hz refresh rate.

Time is running out to get this 50-inch 4K TV for $200 at Amazon
Pioneer 50-inch 4K Smart Fire TV on a white background displaying its smart TV interface.

There aren't many hours left to check out the Prime Day deals but there's still enough time to buy one of the cheapest Prime Day TV deals we've seen throughout the sales event. That deal is being able to buy a Pioneer 50-inch 4K TV for just $160, saving you a hefty 50% or $160 off the regular price of $320. It's not often we see a TV as cheap as this, especially when it's 4K and a good size for most living rooms. If you're in need of a cheap TV, this is a great option to pursue. However, you really don't have long to buy it as Prime Day ends today. We're talking mere hours to go. You've got time to check out what we know about the TV but from there, make a purchase quickly if it's the one for you. You'll hate it if you miss out on a TV at 50% off.

Why you should buy the Pioneer 50-inch 4K TV
Pioneer may not be one of the best TV brands around but it's well-established and not exactly a no-name choice. No one is expecting one of the best TVs when they're paying $150 but this one covers all the basics and a little more too. For instance, besides its 4K resolution, it also has Dolby Vision support so you get sharper contrast and better picture quality than ones that don't support it. It's those kind of things that soon add up.
