Save big on AirPods Pro, iPad Mini with these early Prime Day deals

Prime Day is coming on October 13 — and with it will arrive plenty of Prime Day deals. But that doesn’t mean you can’t take advantage of Amazon’s big sale right day now, as early Prime Day deals are already arriving at full steam, on some of the hottest tech out there.

For example if you snap to it, you can get

$30 off

Apple AirPods Pro; they’re on sale for $219, down from their regular price of $249. Meanwhile, you can

save $49

on an iPad Mini, which is selling for $350, down from $399. These are incredible opportunities to get Apple products for cheap, but better act fast before they’re gone.

Apple iPad Mini

— $219, was $249

Want something that’s a happy medium between a smartphone and a tablet? Look no further. The iPad Mini’s screen is a baby-bear-just-right size, with its phenomenally sharp 7.9-inch Retina display that boasts True Tone and wide color technology. This latest iPad Mini has an A12 Bionic chip, a killer little engine and it’s got all your multitasking needs covered with the latest iPadOS. You can relax any security concerns you had, thanks to Touch ID and the iPad Mini’s fingerprint sensor. With today’s FaceTime and Zoom requirements, something else that will be an everyday lifesaver is the 8MP reverse camera and a 7MP FaceTime HD front camera — offering clear, steady pics and video, all the time. Additionally, this iPad Mini has Apple Pencil support, bringing in a world of design and making this your graphics tablet, too (and kids love it). And, essential for all good mobile devices, it’s not too stressful on the battery. You’ll have up to 10 hours of life on a single charge. We love our phones and our tablets, but we might love the iPad Mini even more.

AirPods Pro

— $350, was $399

With active noise cancellation, the AirPods Pro are some of the best true wireless earphones out there, and a huge step forward from the normal AirPods. The noise cancellation is tops, blocking out all surrounding noise, especially wind; and the transparency mode works beautifully, allowing in necessary noise (and they built in a vent to release the pressure that can build up in noise canceling mode). And there are three microphones in each pod, with one of these mics designed specifically to pick up your voice. Design-wise, the AirPods Pro are another leap forward; they’re equipped with interchangeable silicone ear tips that mold the earphones, and their output, directly into your ear’s canal for the best aural experience. They also have Adaptive EQ, so that your podcasts, music, and calls will be customized automatically, corresponding to the shape of your ear. And of course, there’s support for Siri and built-in voice control for all your music and calls and volume. A final selling point: Even with all these features, the battery life is awesome. Apple has upped the battery life to an impressive five hours, backed up with the portable charging case which only requires juice once a day (it lasts up to 24 hours).

However, if for any reason you miss this sale, there are always Black Friday deals to look forward to with countless deals including iPad sales.

This $199 refurbished iPad deal is $120 cheaper than a new one
iPad 7th generation hands-on holding in horizontal mode

If you don't mind purchasing refurbished stock that looks like new, Walmart has one of the best iPad deals today. Right now, you can buy the Apple iPad 7th generation for only $200 saving you $49 off the usual price. Of course, it's a refurbished unit but Walmart promises that it works and looks like new so you're not missing out on anything other than spending more cash. It's an older model but thanks to Apple supporting iPads for a long time, you'll be fine. Here's a deeper look at what to expect from your new acquisition.

Why you should buy the Apple iPad
The Apple iPad 7th generation was launched back in 2019. Four years old, it's still reasonably powerful if you don't mind a few concessions in exchange for owning an iPadOS-based tablet. It's powered by the A10 Fusion processor that was seen in the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. It can still handle plenty of multitasking so there are no concerns there, although we'd recommend this as a tablet for someone who doesn't mind being a few steps behind technologically. After all, this isn't one of the best tablets anymore, but it's ideal for entertainment purposes.

Prime Day deals are still running for a few more hours with the event ending at the end of today. That still gives you a little more time to committing to buying an Apple iPad Mini while it's on sale. Right now, it's at one of its lowest-ever prices at $380 instead of its regular price of $499. Previous dips are usually more like $399 so this is a sweet extra saving over the usual discount. By now, you've probably considered Prime Day iPad deals for a little while. Don't delay, snap up the iPad Mini now before you miss your chance. If you still need convincing, here's a quick look at what to expect and why it's worth it.

Why you should buy the Apple iPad Mini
The Apple iPad Mini is a little powerhouse of a tablet. While so many of the best tablets focus on size, the Apple iPad Mini provides a great experience while being the kind of device you can toss into your bag. It has an attractive 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display that makes whatever you're doing look great. It has True Tone support along with P3 wide color so it always looks good, whether you're streaming your favorite shows or even indulging in a little video editing.
