Amazon cuts nearly $100 off of LG portable air conditioner ahead of Prime Day

Summers can get uncomfortably warm and air conditioners are a great way to beat the heat. However, centralized air conditioning is pretty expensive, and window-mounted air conditioners can only remain in one room. In order to stay cool regardless of where you’re at, we recommend portable air conditioners. They’re easy to move around and they don’t cost much. Ahead of Prime Day, Amazon has great deals on air conditioners and more smart home devices.

A great option is the

LG portable air conditioner

with remote control. It normally costs $389, but Amazon is discounting a considerable 23% price cut, bringing it down to $299.

LG portable air conditioner

This space-saving portable air conditioner is ideal for small-sized rooms where fewer BTUs are required. BTU, or British thermal unit, is a key performance indicator when you’re shopping for an air conditioner. The higher the BTU, the larger the space that can be kept cool by the AC. Portable air conditioners have BTUs that generally range from around 8,000 to 14,000.

With an 8,000 BTU cooling capacity, the 115-volt LG portable air conditioner is capable of keeping rooms up to 200 square feet cool. It has a sleek contemporary design that fits many modern homes well. Effective air circulation throughout the room is made possible by the auto-swing air vent innovation. The portable AC has two cooling and fan speeds, and a 24-hour on/off timer that allows you to set a schedule to minimize electricity consumption. Aside from its digital control panel, the unit comes with remote control for temperature adjustment and other operations.

The LG portable air conditioner also functions as a dehumidifier. It can remove up to 74.4 pints of moisture from the air daily through its auto evaporation system. It does come with a drain tray that fills up with water if the area is very humid. Otherwise, you seldom need to empty it.

The unit weighs 58.4 pounds which makes it slightly heavier than most portable air conditioners, but casters found beneath it makes it easy to wheel from room to room. This AC also requires you to install an exhaust for it — a hose that stretches out to five feet that acts as a window vent. Some complained about the noise it makes, but compared to other window-type ACs, it isn’t any louder.

Upgrade your space with a portable air conditioner. With a $91 discount, this LG portable air conditioner will help you keep fresh and avoid hot sweaty nights this summer.

Amazon’s take on the Apple AirPods are down to $35 right now
amazon echo buds 2023 review 7

If you're thinking about buying wireless earbuds but you're on a tight budget, you should check out the third-generation Amazon Echo Buds. They were just released last month, but they're already part of this year's Prime Day deals with a $15 discount that makes their already low price of $50 even more affordable, as you can get them for just $35. They're a steal for this cheap, but a lot of shoppers will be thinking that as well, so it's highly recommended that you buy the wireless earbuds right now while stocks are still available.

Why you should buy the third-generation Amazon Echo Buds
The third-generation Amazon Echo Buds are already included in our roundup of the best cheap headphones and earbuds because they come with a price that's tough to beat. There's a lot of technologies that you can find in the best wireless earbuds, like the Apple AirPods Pro 2, that are missing in the Amazon Echo Buds 2023, including active noise cancellation and wireless charging, but for what they cost, they're considered a decent set of wireless earbuds. They even slightly make up for the lack of ANC through a semi-in-ear design that helps reduce noise.

Time is running out to get this 50-inch 4K TV for $200 at Amazon
Pioneer 50-inch 4K Smart Fire TV on a white background displaying its smart TV interface.

There aren't many hours left to check out the Prime Day deals but there's still enough time to buy one of the cheapest Prime Day TV deals we've seen throughout the sales event. That deal is being able to buy a Pioneer 50-inch 4K TV for just $160, saving you a hefty 50% or $160 off the regular price of $320. It's not often we see a TV as cheap as this, especially when it's 4K and a good size for most living rooms. If you're in need of a cheap TV, this is a great option to pursue. However, you really don't have long to buy it as Prime Day ends today. We're talking mere hours to go. You've got time to check out what we know about the TV but from there, make a purchase quickly if it's the one for you. You'll hate it if you miss out on a TV at 50% off.

Why you should buy the Pioneer 50-inch 4K TV
Pioneer may not be one of the best TV brands around but it's well-established and not exactly a no-name choice. No one is expecting one of the best TVs when they're paying $150 but this one covers all the basics and a little more too. For instance, besides its 4K resolution, it also has Dolby Vision support so you get sharper contrast and better picture quality than ones that don't support it. It's those kind of things that soon add up.

Ring Floodlight Cam is 40% off, and you should totally consider it
Ring floodlight cam on brick wall.

If you're looking for the best floodlight cameras for added security, the Ring Floodlight Cam is a great option, especially if you're already in the Amazon ecosystem and can connect your other Amazon devices with the floodlight. If you want to grab one, there's a great Prime Day deal from Amazon that discounts it to $120 from $200, which is pretty substantial and is a great opportunity to grab two or more if you need to cover your whole house.

Why you should buy the Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Plus
The Ring Floodlight Cam Wires Plus is pretty easy to install if you know how to install a light fixture, and it won't take long, assuming you're replacing an existing one. Interestingly enough, the back plate has foam to protect from water intrusion or other elements you'd deal with outside, which is a nice addition and helps avoid having to caulk it yourself. In terms of placement, both lights and Ring Camera can be rotated freely, and you can even place the Ring Camera above rather than below, as is usual. Either way, you're dealing with two 2,000-lumen floodlights, which are pretty intense and should let you see relatively far away at night and are much more powerful than the spotlight version, as you can see in our breakdown between the Ring Spotlight Cam Pro vs. Ring Floodlight Pro.
