For the fourth-generation Echo Dot, Amazon replaces the puck design with an attention-grabbing spherical shape, but not at the expense of audio quality. The Echo Dot still delivers the conveniences provided by Amazon’s Alexa. The digital assistant is capable of acting on voice commands for a variety of functions, including playing songs from a range of streaming services, answering questions, and controlling connected smart home devices, among many other features.
