The Apple Magic Trackpad 2 is down to its lowest price ever on Amazon

Spend all your money on that new iMac Pro, or just a fan of Apple’s Space Gray? Amazon’s knocked 30% off the Space Gray-colored Apple Magic Trackpad 2, bringing the trackpad down to its cheapest price yet.

Normally $150 (yes there’s a premium for the color), right now you can snag the Apple Magic Trackpad 2 for just $105, a 30% savings. If you miss the versatility of a trackpad — especially if you own a newer MacBook or MacBook Pro — picking up Apple’s trackpad is a good idea.

You might ask how could a trackpad be improved since this is the second version of Apple’s Magic Trackpad. One word: Recharging. Unlike its predecessor, you just need a Lightning cord to charge your Magic Trackpad. This is a change that Apple’s also made in its latest incarnations of its Magic Mouse and Keyboard, too — and we love it.

While we smartened up quick and purchased rechargeable batteries (buying batteries regularly adds up), it was still a pain to make sure that we always had a set of charged ones on hand. Often when the batteries would need to be swapped, we’d forget to put them in the charger. Here, you just need to plug it in and you’re done.

While using the trackpad, you can see current battery levels in the Bluetooth menu of your Mac — as well as customize how the Magic Trackpad behaves.

All gestures supported on the new MacBook and MacBook Pro trackpads are supported here, and the Magic Trackpad also brings Force Touch to the desktop for the first time. Four force sensors underneath the trackpad can detect differences in the amount of pressure you apply, which allows you to navigate in new and exciting ways.

Haptic feedback provides mouse click like confirmation, something we missed when testing out the original Magic Trackpad. The device pairs automatically with Mac desktops, and should last a little over a month on a single charge. A 30% larger usable surface area gives your fingers more room to work, which we think is another attractive change.

Amazon also discounted the traditional Silver Magic Trackpad 2, but nowhere near as much. Normally $129, Amazon has snipped $7 off the retail price. Both are available with one-day shipping for Prime members.

MacBook Air is still at its lowest-ever price following Prime Day 2023
The M1-powered Macbook Air, open on a table.

The 256GB version of the M1-powered Apple MacBook Air 2020 was on sale for its lowest-ever price of $750 for Amazon's Prime Day, but if you missed the shopping event, don't worry because the discount is still available. You can still take advantage of the $250 discount on the laptop's original price of $1,000, but because it's a holdover from the MacBook deals of Prime Day, we're pretty sure that it won't last long. If you want to get a MacBook for cheap, you're going to want to push through with this transaction before it gets taken down.

Why you should buy the Apple MacBook Air 2020
It has since been overshadowed by the M2-powered Apple MacBook Air 2022, but the Apple MacBook Air 2020 remains in our list of the best MacBooks as the lowest-price option if you want one of Apple's laptops. It's powered by Apple's M1 chip, which is so power-efficient that this model of the MacBook Air can last up to 18 hours on a single charge, and it goes completely fanless. This also makes the laptop completely silent even when it's handling heavy workloads, which you probably didn't think would be such a big deal until you experience it first hand.

amazon echo buds 2023 review 7

If you're thinking about buying wireless earbuds but you're on a tight budget, you should check out the third-generation Amazon Echo Buds. They were just released last month, but they're already part of this year's Prime Day deals with a $15 discount that makes their already low price of $50 even more affordable, as you can get them for just $35. They're a steal for this cheap, but a lot of shoppers will be thinking that as well, so it's highly recommended that you buy the wireless earbuds right now while stocks are still available.

Why you should buy the third-generation Amazon Echo Buds
The third-generation Amazon Echo Buds are already included in our roundup of the best cheap headphones and earbuds because they come with a price that's tough to beat. There's a lot of technologies that you can find in the best wireless earbuds, like the Apple AirPods Pro 2, that are missing in the Amazon Echo Buds 2023, including active noise cancellation and wireless charging, but for what they cost, they're considered a decent set of wireless earbuds. They even slightly make up for the lack of ANC through a semi-in-ear design that helps reduce noise.
