The 2014 Game Awards might be over, but the ridiculous onslaught of world premieres that graced its stage aren’t going away anytime soon. The night brought revelations about a range of upcoming games: known and unknown, AAA and indie. It was a kickass celebration of games overall too, with powerful moments owing to the participation of gaming greats like longtime Nintendo composer Koji Kondo and Sierra On-Line founders Ken and Roberta Williams.

Unfortunately, there aren't any rules when it comes to crossplay, so each game handles the feature a little differently. To make matters more confusing, certain backward-compatible games on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X still support crossplay on the most recent hardware, even if there isn't an official release for that hardware.
