How to kill the Breaker

The Breaker towers over common zombies in Back 4 Blood.

Although it’s much more imposing than most other Special Ridden in Back 4 Blood, there’s no secret to taking down a Breaker. Teamwork, deep ammo reserves, and lots of patience are the keys to success — but there are a few things you can do to speed up the battle and save your resources.

  • Stay at a distance: Breakers deal the most damage when they’re in close-quarters combat, so do everything in your power to stay at arm’s length. Despite their size, Breakers can leap incredible distances, so be ready to sprint to a new location if you see it sailing through the air.
  • Take advantage of its speed: While Breakers can quickly cover ground by leaping, they move incredibly slow while on foot. That makes it easy to lure it away from teammates by grabbing its attention — or to quickly put some distance between you and the beast if you find yourself in its crosshairs.
  • Cat and mouse: Since Breakers are so slow, most players find it helpful to have one member of their team designated as the “bait” — that is, they’ll keep the Breaker distracted by running in circles while the rest of the Cleaners continuously shoot at the beast. It’s a solid technique, but it only works if the “bait” is fast enough to stay out of the Breaker’s deadly grasp.
  • Focus on weak spots: The Breaker’s weak spots are located around its shoulders and down by its legs. Shooting at these glowing red pustules will deal increased damage and reduce the amount of ammo you’ll waste in the encounter. If you don’t have a clear shot at them, consider moving to a new position or having a teammate lure the beast into a better location.

While dealing with a Breaker isn’t easy, you’ll also need to be on the lookout for other zombies in the vicinity. You’ll often be fighting a Breaker alongside dozens of other Ridden — and you’ll need to keep your head on a swivel to make it out alive. Communicate with your team, watch your ammo, use bandages wisely, and you’ll be in the next safe room before you know it.

Resident Evil 4 lock codes: how to solve the Village Chief’s Manor combination lock puzzles
Leon Kennedy walking in the Resident Evil 4 remake.

In the world of Resident Evil 4, it isn't just the existence of viruses and parasites that turn normal people into crazed zombies that differentiates it from our own reality. In this ream, most homes and buildings don't just simply lock their doors, but secure them using obscure puzzles, such as the one you will find early on when you reach the Village Chief's Manor. This small home has two major roadblocks preventing you from moving on and pursuing your goal of finding the president's daughter. While there is a clue to the first puzzle, it is still somewhat cryptic and easy to miss, while the second is much less clear on what you're even being asked to do. Don't let these early puzzles stump you for too long -- use our help in solving the Village Chief's Manor puzzles in Resident Evil 4.
How to solve the cabinet lock puzzle

After entering the manor and dealing with a lone enemy in the bathroom, the first puzzle you need to solve is on the ground floor. Around the back of the house, down the hall with a Red Herb, is a large cabinet. The lock has three symbols you need to correctly align to open, and those symbols include things such as wheat, animals, babies, and birds. You won't be able to guess this one, so instead, you need to go up to the second floor and examine a book on a table in the hallway. This document, called "Illuminados 4:3, spells out the solution. The important part is the middle paragraph with the highlighted text that reads: "The old farmer, his finest crop./ The Slight swineherd, his stoutest pig./ The beggarly grandam, her own beloved babe."

How to unlock the Serpent’s Head in Resident Evil 4
Leon and Ashley in the Resident Evil 4 remake.

When you reach the grand hall of the castle in Resident Evil 4, you'll find yourself needing to collect three heads to place on a chimera statue. While the Lion's Head and Goat's Head are both fairly straightforward combat challenges, the Serpent's Head is locked behind a gated display case that requires you to do a bit of puzzle-solving. Here's how to get it.
How to unlock the Serpent's Head
The Serpent's Head can be seen locked inside a display case upon first entering the dining hall through the door next to the chimera statue. You'll need to solve a puzzle to get it open, so head to the back of the hall and take a look at the two massive pictures on the wall there.

Each picture corresponds with a spot where either Leon or Ashley should sit. Leon needs to sit where the king is seated in the picture on the right, while Ashley needs to sit where the queen is seated in the picture on the left. If you'd like to figure the rest out for yourself, just take notes about the locations of the silverware, what types of food are plated, and so on to see what you can figure out. For the exact seating locations, though, we've got you covered below.

How to get the TMP in Resident Evil 4
Leon Kennedy walking in the Resident Evil 4 remake.

Resident Evil 4 has a handful of really great guns to pick from as you slay hundreds of baddies throughout its spooky Spanish village, and in most cases, you'll need to push through a lot of chapters to get to some of the best ones the game has to offer. But in the case of the TMP – Resident Evil 4's small and deadly SMG – you'll actually be able to get it relatively early in the adventure. While it may not be the best weapon in the game, it's a nice option to have on you for filling larger enemies with bullets. We'll tell you where you can get your hands on it below.
Where to buy the TMP and why you should
The TMP is available beginning in Chapter 3 of the campaign. Simply speak to the merchant once you come across him, and he'll have the TMP for sale. If you need some extra money to pick it up, sell a few treasures or slay some enemies.

The real question is whether or not the TMP is worth the investment, and the answer is a resounding "yes" for most players. Given Resident Evil 4's penchant for throwing large groups of foes at you at once, it can be very useful to have a weapon that can handle such onslaughts. The TMP is great for spraying these mobs of enemies with bullets to keep them at bay, especially given that the gun has a very large magazine, meaning that you can keep firing for quite a while without worrying about reloading.
