Battlefield 3 complete Fault Line video

battlefield-3

Using only gameplay footage entirely taken from the gameplay of the upcoming Battlefield 3, EA and DICE have been trying to get your attention for nearly two months now. They want you to check out the stellar graphics using the new Frostbite 2 Engine. They expect that you will make suitably impressed sounds when the damage physics are displayed. They hope you will be further impressed to see that everything you are watching is still pre-alpha. If after watching the entire Fault Line series you aren’t at least a little impressed, then please let us know what games you are playing, because they must look spectacular.

The video below will be familiar to those that have followed the news coming from the game. It combines the three previous videos, the last of which was released on March 30. All three episodes debuted under the Fault Line moniker, and all three show off the early levels in the game.

Battlefield 3 is set in the very near future, and takes you through Paris, Tehran, New York and the fan favorite—Sulaymaniyah (it is in Iraqi Kurdistan). In the video below, you can see that insurgents have mounted a sizeable attack, which is then trumped by the Earth deciding that it has had enough of us puny meatbags, and fights back with an earthquake.

Battlefield 3 is expected to enter beta soon. Those that bought the Limited Edition and Tier 1 Medal of Honor games will have first access, although no release date for the beta has been given. The game itself though, will be released on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 on November 2.

Splatoon 3 is collaborating with Pokémon to host a special Splatfest to commemorate the upcoming release of Pokémon Scarlet and Violetin November.

Like previous Splatoon 3 Splatfests, the latest one will feature three teams competing for Turf War dominance over the course of a weekend. The November Splatfest will utilize that tri-team setup in a clever way: by letting teams choose their favorite Pokémon starter type. Players can either choose team Grass, Fire, or Water. They'll get a matching shirt to represent their respective team. The competition kicks off on November 11 before the release of the new Pokémon installments.

Battlefield 2042 Season 2 deepens progression with Assignments
Crawford shoots enemies with a turret he place in Battlefield 2042.

EA unveiled Battlefield 2042 Season 2: Master of Arms today, detailing the new content players can expect when it drops on August 30. Master of Arms features the new map, weapon, gadget, and Specialist content that players desire from a significant update like this, but this next season of Battlefield 2042 also deepens progression with a brand new feature called Assignments.

Battlefield 2042 is a multiplayer-only game, so having an interesting progression system is key to ensuring players stick around. Currently, players can increase their Player Level as they also make their way through a battle pass. The Assignments feature will now allow players to seamlessly work toward unlocking Vault Weapons, which are guns that were previously only available in Battlefield Portal or previous seasons.
