Available on PC, Mac, Fire TV, iOS, and Android, gamers can immerse themselves into the worlds of their favorite games without needing to worry about local storage space or installing updates. Gamers can also opt to pay an extra fee for access to additional games from large-scale publishers, such as Ubisoft. These are the best games currently on Amazon Luna that you need to play right now.

Be sure to check out our comparison of how Amazon Luna compares to Google Stadia.

Control

Released by Remedy Entertainment, Control is a game that you won’t want to miss if you are interested in supernatural shooters shrouded in a government conspiracy. Players take control of Jesse Faden, a woman who arrives at the Oldest House, a building under control by the Federal Bureau of Control, seeking her kidnapped brother. Players explore a government building like no other, finding Objects of Power, everyday objects that grant Jesse paranormal powers. If you play only one game this year, Control is a solid option that is sure to dazzle, and you can jump into it now on Amazon Luna.

Metro Exodus

Metro Exodus is the third installment in the Metro game trilogy, released by Deep Silver and developed by 4A Games. Following the events of Metro 2044 and Metro: Last Light, Metro Exodus is a first-personal survival horror shooter with stealth elements. Players step into a post-apocalyptical Russian Federal where they must fish against mutated creatures that roam the land. Throughout the game, gamers can craft a collection of hand-made weaponry to take down enemies. While playing the first two games in the franchise is recommended, jumping directly into Metro Exodus is still a thrilling experience.

Resident Evil 7

When you step into the world of Resident Evil, you know nothing good is to come of it. This 2017 survival horror game from Capcom puts you in control of Ethan Winters, a man searching for his lost wife. You must move through an old plantation that an infected family inhabits while fighting enemies and solving puzzles. Resident Evil 7 is a welcomed game in the franchise as it abandons the more action-heavy focus of previous games, placing a stronger focus on horror and exploration. Resident Evil 7 isn’t for the faint of heart, but if you’re in for a scare, stream this title on Luna.

A Plague Tale: Innocence

An excellent game that was seemingly missed by many, A Plague Tale: Innocence was released in May 2019 by Focus Home Interactive. Players take control of Amicia de Rune, a young girl of noble descent in Aquitaine. The game is set during the Hundred Years War, and players navigate this action-adventure horror gaming using stealth to survive. If you enjoy running directly into action, this likely isn’t the game for you, but if you enjoy survival puzzles and thinking on your feet, you may want to join Amicia as she tries to survive a harsh world.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (Ubisoft+)

Assassin's Creed Valhalla Blacksmith

The first game in our list part of the Ubisoft+ add-on to Luna, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, is the 12th installment in the Assassin’s Creed series by Ubisoft. Set in 873 AD, players take control of Eivor, a Viking raider during Britain’s Viking invasion. In this excellent open-world adventure game, players find themselves trapped in a conflict between the Brotherhood of Assassins and the Templar Order. Released in 2020, Assassins Creed Valhalla is a fresh game that should be checked off any player’s must-play list.

Immortals Fenyx Rising (Ubisoft+)

Released in 2020, Immortal Fenyx Rising is an action-adventure game produced by Ubisoft that puts players in control of a young Greek member of the Delian League. After barely surviving a shipwreck, the soldier washes up upon the shores of the Golden Isle. After quickly discovering that the other shipmates have turned to stone, gamers jump into a world inhabited by Greek gods of yesteryear. In this exciting open-world adventure, players can fully customize the protagonist’s appearance, playing the game as they wish. If Greek mythology is up your alley, you’ll want to check out this stellar title.

WatchDog Legion (Ubisoft+)

Watch Dogs Legion Team

The third installment of the action-adventure hacking series by Ubisoft, WatchDog: Legion is set within a dystopian London. A hacker group known as DedSec looks to prove their innocence in a series of bombings while liberating the city from a private military company that has turned the land into a surveillance state. Legion marks the first game in the WatchDog series where gamers can take control of multiple characters. If a gritty cyberpunk thriller sounds like a good weekend, you’ll want to grab this title off of Luna while it’s still available.

Far Cry 5 (Ubisoft+)

Far Cry 5 Review | Jacob

The Far Cry series has continued to move forward after the first game in the franchise was released in 2004 by Crytek. Far Cry 5, now developed and published by Ubisoft, takes place in a fictional Montana region known as Hope County. A dangerous doomsday cult has taken over the county, and its influential leader, Joseph Seed, sits at its helm. You play as a junior deputy sheriff who has become trapped within the county and must work with the resistance to take down the cult. Full of cults and conspiracy, this combat-focused game is great for any fans of first-person shooters.

The Division 2 (Ubisoft+)

The Division 2 Endgame Guide

Tom Clancy’s games need little introduction, but we’ll do our best with The Division 2. Th best Oatchi skills to unlock in Pikmin 4
The player rides Oatchi in Pikmin 4

Oatchi is your newest and most faithful companion in Pikmin 4. This adorable dog-creature will be by your side for the majority of your adventure to help you and your Pikmin rescue all the Castaways. Unlike the cute, yet expendable Pikmin, Oatchi is one-0f-a-kind and even upgradable! Once you've teamed up with one, and progressed far enough to meet Shepherd, you will be able to teach this young pup a bunch of new tricks in exchange for Pup Drive. It might sound complicated, and when you see the list of possible skills and levels you can upgrade, even a little intimidating. Worry not, because we'll break down the best skills you should unlock for Oatchi in Pikmin 4.
How to unlock skills
We briefly touched on it, but the short version of teaching Oatchi new skills is by spending Pup Drive with Shephard. The option will become available to you after you rescue a Castaway named Russ from a cave and return back to the Rescue Command Post. The main way to earn Pup Drive is to rescue Castaways and Leaflings, with each one awarding you a single Pup Drive, as well as doing Dandori Battles and Challenges. You can also gain a Pup Drive during night expeditions by curing Leaflings with glow sap.

The set of skills you first see is not all that Oatchi is capable of learning. More will become available naturally as you play, such as learning to swim by going in water, or maxing out other skills.

The best gear to buy in Pikmin 4
The player stands with Oatchi and some Red Pikmin in Pikmin 4.

After surviving your crash landing, which itself was a mission to rescue other crashed explorers, you will need to use anything and everything you find in your environment to survive in Pikmin 4. The titular Pikmin, and your new pup Oatchi, will do the bulk of your work for you, but it will be up to you to craft your own gear to create in The Lab. There are dozens of gear items you can get, but all of them have a cost so you will want to prioritize getting the strongest ones first. This will make your early days trying to survive in this mysterious land that much easier. Gather up your Pikmin and do some research on the best gear you should buy in Pikmin 4.
How to buy gear

Before you can start buying gear, you need to unlock The Lab where it is sold. This will happen very early on after you rescue the castaway named Russ in a cave in the Sun-Speckled Terrace. Once he's back at your base, you can interact with him to spend any raw materials you collect around the map. Some gear items won't be available right away, requiring you to either do specific things or accumulate enough Sparklium first.
