Big Electronic Games of Hong Kong today announced they’d struck a deal with retail giant Target to distribute the former’s BigGames Home Video Arcades machines starting in November. The full sized video game machines will retail for less than $500.
BigGames Home Video Arcades are 62 inches tall and include a built-in, full color monitor, gaming buttons and A/V inputs to hook up other devices such as DVD players and other home video game systems so they can be viewed on the monitor. Each unit plays 12 of the original arcade versions of the most popular Midway games, including Defender, Defender II, Robotron , Joust, Bubbles, Splat, Sinistar, Rampage, Rootbeer Tapper, Wizard of Wor, Timber, and Satan’s Hollow.
“Any child or adult who has grown up playing video games in arcades has dreamt of having a real arcade machine in their home. Now they can for less than $500,” said Frank Landi of Big Electronic Games Ltd.
