Electronic Arts today announced they were shipping NCAA Madness 2006 for the Playstation 2 and Xbox video game systems. The game was developed by EA Canada, who also created the NBA Live and NBA Street basketball franchises.
NCAA Madness 2006, EA said, features Duke as the top ranked team in the country. Key features of this new version of the game include a “Lockdown Stickâ€, which uses the right analog stick to better help dictate the tempo on offense or defense, diagrammed defensive playbooks to help better call plays, an improved transition game, a senior leader which helps feed your team’s overall performance, an enhanced dynasty mode which uses assistant coaches to help collect information and also offers stat tracking and ratings on players and a mode which allows you to create dream match ups against classic college teams.
The game features former North Carolina Tar Heels star Raymond Felton on the packaging. Action in game is called by ESPN’s Dick Vitale and Brad Nessler.
