Every exclusive game available in the Epic Games Store

The Epic Games Store has managed to become a real threat to Steam in just a matter of months. Launched in 2018, the store from the studio behind money-printer Fortnite has enticed developers both large and small with far friendlier revenue splits than Steam. Now, there are a lot of exclusive games on the Epic Games Store.

Although many titles have made their way over to Steam — including Metro Exodus and Borderlands 3 — Epic has a strong lineup of exclusive titles. In addition to AAA blockbusters from publishers like Ubisoft, Epic manages to grab the attention of a lot of indie outfits.

Here’s the full list of current and upcoming exclusives on the Epic Games Store.

Although we don’t have as many games lined up for the Epic Games Store as in previous years, there’s a lot for fans to look forward to. Ubisoft is continuing to support the platform, which means we’ll likely see upcoming releases in the publisher’s popular franchises released on the platform. Additionally, Remedy Entertainment (developer of Control) announced that its next two games would be exclusive to the platform, and Playdead and GenDesign have exclusives coming, as well.

We’ll likely see a continued tread of PS5 games on Epic, too. Although Sony doesn’t publish games exclusively on Epic, many PS5 console exclusives have already shown up on Epic over Steam.

This trick guarantees you’ll get bots only in every Fortnite match
how to play split screen fortnite duo

Fortnite is one of the biggest names in gaming, and it's quite easy to understand how it became a global phenomenon. The beloved battle royale is overflowing with things to do, and weekly updates ensure that there are always new weapons and items to engage with, fresh locales to visit on its ever-changing map, and plenty of XP to earn via daily and weekly challenges.

With so much to keep players coming back for more, you can be certain finding a lobby filled with other folks is an easy thing to do. But you've also probably noticed that many matches -- particularly in lower and mid-tier lobbies -- mix bots in with real players. This helps to fill out lobbies faster so you can get in and play consistently, and it also serves as a way to ensure that everyone in the match has a few opportunities to eliminate some baddies regardless of their skill level.

How we test video game consoles
Living room with Microsoft Xbox Series X (L) and Sony PlayStation 5 home video game consoles alongside a television and soundbar.

For a long time, video game hardware cycles were pretty straightforward. You’d only have to worry about three major video game systems and a handheld or two at any given time. It was possible to own pretty much every major piece of gaming tech released in a generation without going into debt.

The gaming hardware landscape has significantly changed in the 2020s, though. You’ve got consoles and their frequent upgrades, VR headsets, handheld PCs, cloud-streaming devices, quirky indie hardware, and much more. It can be extremely difficult to keep track of it all and know what’s worth buying. Luckily, you don’t have to; we’re here to help.

Counter-Strike player aiming with an AWP.

Macs have always been hit or miss when it comes to gaming. Until just a few years ago, it was always a gamble to know if a game would come to this operating system, and most of the time, that gamble didn't pay off. However, at WWDC 2022, Apple committed to starting "a new day" for Mac gaming focused on two new features to make the platform better. These features are MetalFX, an upscaling program, and the Fast Resource Loading API, which will decrease game loading times.

With these new advancements, more and more games will be coming to Mac, bringing with them a new group of gamers looking for something to play. It doesn't matter what kind of Mac gamer you are -- there's something for you. That includes AAA blockbusters like Shadow of the Tomb Raider, methodical shooters like Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, and indie darlings like Stardew Valley. Apple fans may not have access to every Windows game and Steam game, but you'll still find many of the best PC games below.
