GameStop offers huge savings on Call of Duty and The Division 2 for Black Friday

GameStop is preparing for Black Friday — or Thursday, as doors will open at 3 p.m. on Thanksgiving — but if you’re willing to venture into the store, you can score some huge savings. Whether you want to buy a Nintendo Switch or are looking to purchase cheap games for loved ones, GameStop has you covered this year.

From November 28 through November 29, you will be able to get a $25 gift coupon when you purchase a Nintendo Switch system at GameStop. The system will still cost its normal $300 price, but a copy of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is also included. From November 30 through December 1, the same deal will apply to the purchase of a Nintendo Switch Lite system at its regular price of $200.

A similar deal will give you a $25 gift coupon with the purchase of a PlayStation 4 Pro, and the Xbox One X system will come bundled with NBA 2K20 for only $350.

The best deals you’ll find, however, are on individual games. You will be able to get major third-party games like Devil May Cry 5, Nier: Automata, and Rage 2 for $20 each. Other major deals include The Division 2 for just $12, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare for $38, and Borderlands 3 for $30. Though Anthem was not well-received, you’ll only need to spend $5 to try it out for yourself.

Though Nintendo is notoriously stingy with its deals during the holiday season, you can still buy several Switch games fat a cheap price during Black Friday. Mario & Rabbids Kingdom Battle will be available for $20, as will several different Lego games on the system. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild should be one of the first games any new Nintendo Switch owner plays, and it will be available for just $40. With enough content to keep you playing for hundreds of hours, it could be the only Switch game you need to buy for the new players in your life.

You can wait until Thanksgiving if you want to shop the GameStop deals at retail locations, but they will also be available online starting at 9 p.m. ET on November 26. Given that winter is quickly approaching, being able to purchase them from the comfort of your home is certainly a luxury.

The wait is finally over. Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 Season 2 is here, and it comes with a lengthy list of changes, many of which are major improvements. Activision detailed a slew of patch notes for the all-new season, breaking down all the changes and fresh features. Warzone 2.0 has been in an odd spot lately, so it's heartening to see so many positive changes. While there's plenty to be excited about, which new features or changes are the most notable? Here are five of the most substantial additions to Warzone 2.0 Season 2.
Weapon balancing

Season 2 has introduced plenty of weapon changes in an attempt to balance and shake up the meta. While it's unclear how exactly that's shifted since the season is so new, one thing is certain: the top contenders from before are no longer overpowered. These include the Fennec 45 and the RPK, both of which were absurdly powerful previously, leaving most other weapons in the dust.

The eagerly anticipated second season of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has a lot in store. It'll incorporate a new small-scale Warzone 2.0 battle royale map called Ashika Island, along with new DMZ features and a fresh set of weapons to try out. While Season 2 certainly has lots of exciting new content in the pipeline, things are looking dire for Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer, as very few new features are planned for the update.

Sure, it's nice that Warzone 2.0 and DMZ are getting so much attention during Season 2, but the latest update is a grim sign for the overall life cycle of Modern Warfare 2 -- a game that seems to have been left in the dust as Activision sprints on to its next project,

So, what exactly is Modern Warfare 2 getting alongside Season 2? On paper, it seems like a sizeable amount. That is, until you break down what's in the works.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 Season 2 will finally fix its looting system

After a two-week delay, Activision will finally release Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 Season 2 on February 15. Ahead of its release, Activision published a new blog post detailing what to expect from Season 2. Most notably, Season 2 will completely change how looting and inventory management works in Warzone 2.0, hopefully fixing one of the most heavily criticized things about the game.

Now, instead of the menu system featured since launch, Warzone 2.0 will work similarly to the first installment: loot will now drop to the ground in a pile. This willstreamline the looting process, allowing players to grab items much faster. In addition, Medium and Large Backpacks are being removed entirely, only allowing the use of Small Backpacks for the duration of the match. This will not only improve how players collect loot, but will also prevent players from hoarding Self-Revive Kits and other items.
