Ghostrunner 2 is coming to PS5, Xbox One and PC, but skipping last-gen

The 2020 action game Ghostrunner is officially getting a sequel. Ghostrunner 2 is currently in production for next-gen consoles and PC.

Ghostrunner is a fast-paced ninja game where players slash through enemies while traversing rooms with skills like wall running. The catch is that every attack is a one-hit kill, not unlike indie hit Katana Zero. That made for a puzzle-like action game that’s about finding the correct route through a level.

Ghostrunner 2 is developed by One More Level, who created the original. It’ll launch on PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC. The Nintendo Switch and last-gen consoles are notably absent from the press release, indicating that it’ll be built as a “next-gen” game, rather than a cross-generational one.

That’s a particularly interesting note, as many third-party games are still being developed for PS4 and Xbox One. EA recently confirmed that the next Battlefield game will be released on past and current-gen consoles, raising questions about how long developers planned to keep supporting both generations. Ghostrunner 2 could signal a sea change in how developers are approaching that gap.

The news comes hot off the heels of publisher 505 Games acquiring the Ghostrunner IP. In discussing the purchase, 505 Games co-founders Rami Galante and Raffi Galante said, “Ghostrunner is one of the most impressive indie games we’ve seen, boasting AAA tech and a unique futuristic cyberpunk-inspired world that’s both intriguing and terrifying.”

Currently, there’s no release date set for Ghostrunner 2. In the meantime, the game’s developers are hard at work on additional content for the first game. It’ll get a long-requested photo mode later this spring, as well as challenges. The game will get a next-gen upgrade sometime this fall.

There's enough room for improvement that would warrant an entirely new console in the near future. Nintendo recently announced that we won't see a Switch upgrade in the next fiscal year, meaning the absolute earliest we get a look at a new Nintendo console would be in late 2024.

PS Plus is getting PS5 cloud streaming and a big library update

Sony has revealed the next batch of games coming to PlayStation Plus Premium and Extra in June, and the highlight is Far Cry 6. Sony also teased that it is starting to test cloud streaming for PS5 games, with plans to add that feature to PlayStation Plus in the future. A free game trial for WWE 2K23 and free avatars and wallpapers for PS Plus members will also become available next week.
When it comes to new titles, Sony revealed a nice batch of older AAA titles and more recent hit indies for June. On the AAA side of things, Far Cry 6 and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided are very enjoyable, while, indie games like Rogue Legacy 2 and Inscryption are also worth checking out. A PlayStation UK Facebook post confirms that these are titles coming to the service on June 20.

Cheat codes have been a mainstay of the Grand Theft Auto series for years. From spawning a few vehicles to loading your gun with flaming bullets, cheat codes turn GTA 5 into a god game, where you can control the parameters of the sandbox you're playing in, so it's no surprise it's one of the bestselling games of all time. No matter what platform you're playing on, these GTA 5 cheats and secrets will work. But keep in mind: Cheats stop you from earning trophies and achievements while they're live, so keep them for playtime only.
How to use GTA 5 cheats
There are a few ways to enter GTA 5 cheat codes. The first and easiest is to use your cellphone. You can open your cellphone by pressing Up on the D-pad. From there, enter the corresponding number, and the cheat will fire. You can also classically input cheats by following a specific button combination. The combinations are the same across PlayStation and Xbox, but we've split them up to account for their different button-naming conventions, so it should feel more natural reading and entering them.
