How to get the Xenomorph and Ripley Alien Skins

As with many skins and cosmetics in Fortnite, you must purchase the new Alien gear from the Item Shop using V-bucks. Right when you boot up the game on February 26, 2021, you’ll get a new Aline-themed cutscene, showing off Ripley facing off against the Xenomorphs. Head to the item shop to take a look at the different options. Unfortunately, there isn’t a way to acquire them without using V-bucks, though you can earn this currency by leveling up the Battle Pass.

As you level it up, you’ll frequently earn 100 V-bucks, so you might have enough for the cosmetics of your choice right now. If not, you’ll need to spend real money on V-bucks. Remember, 1,000 V-bucks is equal to around $8. There are various V-buck bundles you can buy from the store. To do so, tab over to the last menu on the right from the home screen, and you’ll see all your options, including the following:

  • 1,000 V-bucks — $8
  • 2,800 V-bucks — $20
  • 5,000 V-bucks — $32
  • 13,500 V-bucks — $80

In addition, the Alien cosmetics are only available for a limited time, as indicated by the counter in the Item Shop. Here are the options you have for the new Alien cosmetics:

Ripley & Xenomorph Bundle — 2,200 V-bucks

  • Xenomorph — Outfit
  • Xenomorph Tail — Back Bling
  • Ellen Ripley — Outfit
  • Weyland-Yutani Cat Carrier — Back Bling
  • Xeno Menace — Emote

This is the set you’ll want to get if you want the most bang for your buck. It doesn’t actually come with everything, but it features most of what you’d probably want if you’re an Alien fan, including the Xenomorph and Ripley skins, along with their cosmetics. It doesn’t feature any of the items that come in the Space Gear Bundle, though.

Xenomorph — 1,600 V-bucks

  • Xenomorph — Outfit
  • Xenomorph Tail — Back Bling
  • Xeno Menace — Emote

Perhaps you’re only looking to get the Xenomorph outfit. This will be your best, most affordable option as it comes with the skin, an emote, and a Back Bling.

Ellen Ripley — 1,500 V-bucks

  • Ellen Ripley — Outfit
  • Weyland-Yutani Cat Carrier — Back Bling

Those who just want the Ripley outfit will want to purchase this bundle, which includes a Back Bling, as well.

Space Gear Bundle — 1,500 V-bucks

  • Burst Case Scenario — Emote
  • P-5000 Power Loader Arm — Harvesting Tool
  • Cheyenne Dropship — Glider

You also might want to grab some of the other cosmetics, including the Burst Case Scenario emote, which reenacts the famous gruesome scene from the film, as well as a replica of the Cheyenne Dropship.

Burst Case Scenario — 300 V-bucks

  • Burst Case Scenario — Emote

In addition, each of the cosmetics from the Space Gear Bundle can be purchased individually, including the aforementioned emote.

Cheyenne Dropship — 1,200 V-bucks

  • Cheyenne Dropship — Glider

You can also get just the Dropship, if you choose.

P-5000 Power Loader Arm — 800 V-bucks

  • P-5000 Power Loader Arm — Harvesting Tool

As well as the P-5000 Power Loader Arm Harvesting Tool.

It’s unclear if players will have another opportunity to acquire these items after they leave the shop. Typically, once an item is gone, it’s no longer acquirable, so we wouldn’t count on being able to get your hands on these Alien-themed cosmetics after they leave the item shop.
