Despite coming out in 2015, Rainbow Six Siege has somehow only gotten better and more popular with age. It takes the best elements from a tactical shooter like Counter-Strike 2 and specialized characters team compositions from hero shooters, but sets them in a destructive environment to make each round tactically unique. It is a hardcore game, but even more casual players can have a ton of fun breaching walls and peeking through a hole in the wall to land a headshot.

Aside from the new maps, modes, and characters added, Rainbow Six Siege has also moved from last-generation consoles to current ones. It has also remained popular on PC. Do all these platforms play nice together in this old game, or does Rainbow Six Siege have cross-platform support?

Is Rainbow Six Siege cross-platform?

Rainbow Six Siege is only partially cross-platform. Console players on either PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, or Xbox Series X/S can all play in matches together, but not with the PC crowd. PC players can only play against other PC players, or those playing via Amazon Luna. This is partially to keep matches fair since keyboard and mouse players would have a large advantage over console players who are only able to use controllers.

Cross-progression is much more open, but does have a few limitations as well. Your current rank, rank history, and skill matchmaking ranking (MMR) are only transferable between consoles or PCs, not from any console to PC. Everything else, such as your battle pass progress, unlocks, and all other progression is able to move between PC and consoles without issue.

Dauntless was built from the ground up to challenge the Monster Hunter franchise, and it succeeded in doing so. If features massive weapons, even bigger bosses, and the addictive loop of preparing for a long hunt and engaging in a tough, drawn-out fight with an intimidating monster. One of the big draws was that it is completely free, like Rocket League and Genshin Impact, but those are also so popular because they're cross-platform games. There's nothing quite as thrilling as gathering up a group of hunters to take down a giant beast, but if you can't due to playing on different platforms, it will quickly take the wind out of your sails. Yes, Dauntless supports cross-platform play across PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch. Crossplay is automatically set as on by default on each platform so you shouldn't need to make any changes to start playing with friends on other systems.

Dauntless also includes cross-progression using the in-game account to transfer your progress to any platform. If you ever feel like picking the game up on another console or PC, there's nothing stopping you from continuing the hunt right where you left off.

Path of Exile 2 wasn't even supposed to be a sequel at first, but when the scope became so large that it couldn't fit as an expansion, it was spun off into a full release.

Path of Exile 2 hasn't forgotten what made the first game so much fun, and a large part of that was adventuring and fighting with friends online. The new addition of couch co-op is awesome, but what about players who need to team up online?
