Job listings point to Deus Ex 4 for Xbox 720 and PlayStation 4

The greatest gaming pleasure of 2011 was sneaking around future Detroit, getting right up behind a militant humanist that thinks cybernetic implants are evil, and tasering that guy right in the butt. Deus Ex: Human Revolution was spectacular and delicious in almost every way. It took nearly a decade for a third Deus Ex game to come out after Deus Ex: Invisible War. Based on job postings recently listed on LinkedIn, it looks like we won’t have to wait too long for Deus Ex 4 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox 720.

As noted by superannuation on Twitter, job postings on LinkedIn correlate with others for unannounced projects listed on Deus Ex: Human Revolution developer Eidos Montreal’s website. These positions will work on a “AAA action/adventure” for “new platforms coming in the next two years.”

The listing reads: “The project is based upon an existing IP that is a well known and respected action/adventure title, with elements of choice and stealth with the gameplay. The future iterations of the franchise intend to really take advantage of the new platforms coming in the next two years to provide an experience with unparalleled realism, depth, and consequence for player action and choice.”

Stealth, choice, and consequence are Deus Ex’s raisons d’etre.

Best PlayStation deals for December 2022
PS5 and DualSense art.

The PlayStation 5 has taken the spotlight from the PlayStation 4, but the previous-generation console won't be going away any time soon. While some gamers have already upgraded to the PlayStation 5, there are still those who are sticking with the PlayStation 4, and some who are just starting their experience with the console. It will be easier to find gaming deals for PlayStation 4 games, including exclusives like The Last of Us Part II and Final Fantasy VII Remake, and its accessories, such as DualShock 4 controllers and gaming headsets. The PlayStation 4 has a massive library of games, so if you're thinking about playing as many of them as possible, you should invest in the console to make sure that you're well-equipped to last a few years.

While there remains a lot of interest in the previous-generation console, the PlayStation 5 continues to blow away expectations with its innovative DualSense controller, lightning-fast loading speeds, and amazing next-generation games. However, most of the PlayStation deals from retailers will focus on the PlayStation 4, as well as its games and accessories, as the supply for the PlayStation 5 remains erratic.

Monster Hunter Rise is coming to PlayStation and Xbox, minus cross-platform saves
Monster Hunter Rise Monster

Capcom announced that Monster Hunter Rise is coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on January 20, 2023. It'll land on Xbox Game Pass as well. Cross-saving will be limited though, as players won't be able to take their data between every platform.

As Monster Hunter Rise is not supporting cross-save between different ecosystems, that means players will be unable to transfer their progress of the game from other platforms that the game was already released on. Monster Hunter Rise was first released in March 2021 for Nintendo Switch, so anyone who played there won't be able to transfer their save to PlayStation or Xbox.
