Avengers: War For Wakanda gets a new trailer, but no release date

The latest free update for Marvel’s Avengers, War For Wakanda, got a new trailer during Square Enix’s presentation at E3 this year. While the trailer didn’t reveal a release date for the expansion, it did go over what enemies players can expect to go up against in Wakanda.

In War For Wakanda, players will travel to the hidden kingdom to help Black Panther protect his city, and its stores of Vibranium, from AIM and its partner-in-crime, Klaw. The Avengers are called in once these forces prove too much for Black Panther to handle on his own.

The expansion will highlight Wakanda and explore Black Panther’s own story, but beyond that, it’s not entirely clear what kinds of missions or bosses will be added to Marvel’s Avengers with this expansion. A blog post from March did clarify that the War For Wakanda DLC would add new enemy types and include a power level increase.

Square Enix has been teasing the War For Wakanda expansion for Marvel’s Avengers for quite a while now. The release date for the expansion is currently labeled as “summer and beyond,” with no definitive date in sight.

Two other expansions for Marvel’s Avengers have been released recently. The first, Cosmic Cube, introduced a new villain, the Scientist Supreme. The Second, Wasteland Patrol, added Hawkeye to the game’s ever-growing roster of heroes and introduced a new mission type called “Patrol Mode.”

Marvel’s Avengers is currently available on PC via Steam, Stadia, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.

Detective Pikachu Returns: release date, trailers, gameplay, and more
Pikachu with detective cap smiling and drinking coffee cup

One of the more forgotten entries in the monster-catching franchise is also the most unique. Detective Pikachu was originally a 3DS game (and a feature film) that cast Pikachu as a smooth-talking (that's right, he talks!) detective that teams up with a kid named Tim Goodman to solve various mysteries. Rather than play like an RPG, this entry was more of an adventure game, focusing on story and, naturally, solving mysteries. After the success of the game and film, it was only a matter of time before a sequel was announced. That turned out to be quite a bit longer than many expected, but now that Detective Pikachu Returns has been officially announced, we've put on our caps and collected all the clues about this upcoming adventure.
Release date

Detective Pikachu Returns is right around the corner. The game will launch on October 6, 2023.

Mario, Luigi, Peach and Yoshi in Super Mario Bros.: Wonder key art.

It's been over a decade since we got the last new 2D Mario game, but that dry spell has finally come to an end. Super Mario Bros. Wonder has appeared and will give us a brand new side-scrolling adventure through the Mushroom Kingdom. While 3D Mario titles tend to get most of the excitement and praise from fans, there's no denying that the 2D games are just as creative and fun in their own ways. Even though they all follow the same basic formula of running through a stage in an attempt to reach the flagpole at the end, they all put fun and creative twists on how you get there that keep each title fresh. If you've been wondering what Mario's next 2D adventure will hold, here's everything we know about Super Mario Bros. Wonder.
Release date

We have waited long enough for a new 2D Mario, and Nintendo seems to agree. Super Mario Bros. Wonder will arrive this fall on October 20.
