Nintendo announced Wednesday that Wario: Master of Disguise will be released for the Nintendo DS on June 1 in European markets. In the latest Wario title, players will guide Wario on a treasure hunt, swapping up his costumes as he goes to make use the of unique abilities he takes on with each one.
The Nintendo DS touch screen will allow players to switch Wario’s disguises by drawing symbols for them. Examples of Warios’ different personas include Artist Wario, who can create doors to escape through, Cosmic Wario, who has a laser, Thief Wario, who has superior strength, and Captain Wario, who can summon boats to cross water. Wario will also traverse different locales in the course of the game, ranging from a luxury ocean liner, to watery ruins, to an Egyptian pyramid.
Mini games will give players something extra to strive for, with rewards like additional treasure and new outfits. They will get harder and faster through the course of the game.
Wario: Master of Disguise is expected to sell for around €40 at retailers across Europe.
