One Third Of Mobile Games Don't Work Over the last two years the UK mobile gaming market was worth around $165 million, according to research group GfK. But if figures are correct, then around $60million is being spent on games that can’t be played, mobile developer GetJar claims.

The company blames compatibility issues for the high failure rate, which stands at 33%.

Ilja Laurs, founder and chief executive at GetJar, said on Vnunet, “This is an important challenge for the mobile entertainment industry, for developers and for the operators which supply the vast majority of games in the UK. By bringing more detailedtesting into the development process developers and carriers could iron out many of the compatibility issues without having a negative impact on development process or costs. It is our experiencethat users tend to blame themselves for a compatibility failure and therefore do not actively pursue a refund.”

A Black Panther game is in the works at one of EA’s newest studios

EA and Marvel Games confirmed that a single-player Black Panther video game is in the works at Cliffhanger Games, one of its newest game development studios.

EA and Kevin Stephens, former VP and Studio Head of Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor dev Monolith Productions, formed Cliffhanger Games in May 2021. It was established alongside other new studios like Ridgeline Games, Ripple Effect, and skate. developer Full Circle. Rumors of this game's existence emerged about a year ago, and an EA-published Black Panther game only became more plausible when we learned that an Iron Man game is in active development at Star Wars Squadrons and Dead Space remake studio EA Motive. Now, we know this Black Panther game is real and learned a bit more about what to expect from it.

When I think back to 2022, there are a ton of critically acclaimed games that stick with me. Naturally, I spent countless hours adventuring through the Lands Between in Elden Ring.
